Really wish Ace was here Tommy is a great guitar player and a good dude. This is possibly the best Kiss song musically when everything is cooked right. When paul sings it and doesn't rush and bark through it. There's just a dynamic to Ace and Paul on this song that is just definitive of who this band was musically. Just a great song when they played it right. Even when they played it wrong... it still killed. Peter was perfect on this.

@thomasrosiefan1 By "third one" I meant: 1st/2nd-Paul and Gene, 3rd/4th-Ace and Peter He didn't knew the value of being the 3rd guy in the band. He wanted to be the first, because without him, Kiss was nothing (in his mind). Tommy knows the value of just being in the band, doesn't matter if he is the 3rd or 4th or 10th in order of importance. He just want to be there.

@lawnmower88 You don't know the value of it, till you lost it. Ace was there since the begginig, so he kinda didn't knew the real value of being the third one. If he helped them get there, why he couldn't be the most famous? Tommy is with Kiss since the 80's in the production. It's an honor to him to be the third one, and not one of the hundreds that make that band happen.

yea i mean tommy isnt a band guitar player, he is GREAT not better than ace though, but i think many more ppl would have decent respect for tommy if he had his OWN make-up that is the only reason i respected vinnie he had his own look

Absolutely love this song, but I gotta say... the whole orchestra slapped with it just sounds wrong. Almost like Pete Townsend is producing this. Go to the 2:11 mark and compare it to Pete Townsend's "Rough Boys" at around the 3:22 mark and you'll know what I mean. Sorry. Just sayin....
