I have 3 kids ages 7-6-5 my best advice for when the new baby comes Is to just include shine as much as possible. I got my daughter who was about shines age when her brother was born a baby doll and all the things I had for the real baby and then with my son he also played with the babies he was only 11 months when his brother came. Anytime they wanted to help feed change burp or feed the baby I always let them and they are all so close now. Also another way to include him is having him get the diapers and or wipes for you when changing the new baby! My kids loved helping do that! Good luck to y’all’s family ❤❤

Shine is amazing! He is the sweetest, cutest little boy ever. My son is the same way and he's 3 lol. We go potty for a week and then regress. But we just work on encouraging words and praises. They know when they are ready. I know y'all have some time before the big 2 (too soon?😂) but he will go through behavior changes, it's normal. Y'all are truly the best parents. Hi guys! Good to see you all. Shine is simply growing older and he will begin to explore as he go along, its just that he will not know the value for things nor will he be aware of danger, which is where you both will have to guide him, so you will have to become more vigilant, not saying that you're not but you will both have to step it up. Shine does not know better. However, you will also have to try to set things up in the home in a certain way that he will have boundaries set, like yes he can go to those areas but he cant play there, things like that. As he go along, you will have to keep cautioning, giving him guidance and directions. As for the use of the pottie, from my experience as a boy mom, to me, i think that as they grow older and their private begin to hang lower in the pottie over the dodo, i think they eventually begin to feel uncomfortable about that, they kind of begin feel a sense of scorn being over it and they prefer not to be using the pottie. You may have to use a toilet seat for him in which case he will be higher over the dodo, which will be of much more comfort to him. That's what i think happens with boys using a pottie. As they grow older, they prefer not to use it. Just sharing my thoughts. Trust that this information is helpful in some kind of way.
