This show was so magical when I saw it in 2005 - never saw it on Broadway though. That would have been incredible. I love the chemistry and humor with this cast, and the wall of Lion King performers over the years is a nice touch. Mad respect to everyone. (P.s: Patrick is so damn cute!! Had to be said 💖💖)

I could have this wrong, but I think the theatre that did Hunchback had originally planned to do The Jungle Book with Patrick Page as Shere Khan, but they put it on hold for the 2016 film. Thankfully, Disney’s theatre company is currently working on a new stage adaptation of The Jungle Book.

When I saw 'The Lion King' on broadway, I acted the same way I do with the film. I admire the wildlife, bow to Mufasa and Sarabi (when they first appear), and Simba and Nala (in the finale), look at young Simba and young Nala (to see how cute they are), and I laugh with the hyenas in my impression of the Joker!

Ensemble will do their own makeup but Principals in shoes like this don’t do their own makeup. It’s usually done by one artist assigned to them so it is the same every night.
