A tribute to the maze theme, a great music full of suprises and metamorphoses from Kit Watkins, on his album Labyrinth from 1982

Still to this day, raises the hair on my neck and arms. Kit Watkins is a Keyboard God. I’ve been obsessed with Happy The Man and most of Kit’s solo music and wrote to Kit regularly back in the Azimuth record days. Seen HTM twice in later years without Kit. It’s depressing that a band like this couldn’t have continued longer for the world to see. Beyond Amazing and most Prog bands would walk out of their live shows, literally shaken. This band really made an American statement with all the Great music we had in the Prog 70’s.

You are perfectly right, sad he is so unknown. But in a way he certainly inspired a lot of who have listened to him

In my opinion this was some of the greatest and overlooked music ever made: Kit Watkins "Labyrinth." I'm glad other people are finally posting it because that will lessen my workload of trying to spread the word by myself. It's good to see. Thank you!

First presented in demo 1979 album later released as 3rd Better Late... by Happy the Man, but this version is superior; unlike "While Crome...", that track I prefer the HTM version

I'm a huge fan of "In Time," but I think this is one of Kit's finest works. Absolutely stellar.

Here's what i 'saw' when I first listened to it. You are a creature diving in a dark green lake with light-blue and yellow luminous algae, and then a lime green sun begins to rise above that lake on a colorful sky. Suddenly you find yourself rising with the sun, and you realize that the sky is actually a lake of ultramarine populated with red and pink glowing fish. You continue to go up and up and you discover that the lake has many colorful layers filled with wonders.
