Nice pfp! Our boi Kieran’s new design in the last trailer looks so clean! I was worried what the design would look like, cuz sometimes the Pokémon art team goes a bit overboard with characters’ hairstyles (Swordward, Shieldbert), but they did a pretty simple thing tying up his hair, and it works!

I think that The Loyal Three can still be called that after the myth has been corrected. They're not loyal to Mossui, they're loyal to Dokutaro for granting their wishes and lending them it's power to make them more than what they were. That or they're loyal to it against their will. If you look carefully during the cutscene where they show the bottom half of Dokutaro, when it says the masks attracted more than just innocent curiosity, you'll notice that Dokutaro quickly appears first, apart from the other three. It probably heard stories about the infamous masks, then lent it's power to the loyal three, and tricked them into stealing the masks with the intentions of betraying them afterwards and leaving them for dead. Maybe the poison power tainted them and made them greedy, covetous, power-hungry (like Dokutaro) and easy to manipulate (like a puppet or a "zombie") and Dokutaro used them to do it's dirty work. Maybe the same will happen to Kieran.

In addition to Dokutaro being peach themed, I think it also might be pig themed when revealed. Pigs are old symbols of both greed and filth, so it's not out of turn for the loyal 3 to play retainer to a gluttonous poison porker. In addition the orb shape with a "face" also bears a striking resemblance to a cartoon pig, complete with ears and a raised "snout".

I love this speculation. I do feel it's very possible the -Loser- Loyal Three were simply ordered to steal the masks, but for what reason, that really intrigues me. Maybe "Dokutaro" can indeed access theirnpower somehow, and I wonder if Ogerpon will have an extra role to play in this DLC. Also I highly believe Kieran is being influenced by Dokutaro. Initially it was to steal the Teal Mask and bring it to the Loyal Three and ressurect them, (the crystals being able to call the dead to the living). But maybe Dokutaro isn't done with Kieran yet, and is currently feeding off his rage until he's served his purpose.

dokutaro (~"poison" + "momotaro") is the internal codename, like terapagos's internal codename is kodaikame (~"ancient turtle"). neither are their actual english name. due to the datamines though, we know that dokutaro's english name falls beteeen pawniard and pelipper alphabetically. resulting in theories of some variant of "peachy keen" since the loyal three names are based off of phrases

So here is my theory, and I kow it's basic, so other probably have the same one. Peachikeen, aka, the Momotaru Pokemon, is a Ghost/Poison-type, and using it's ghostly powers, it has possessed Kieran, which is why he's acting like this. And becuase of it's mysterious powers, it was able to revive it's three henchmen, but needed a physical body, hence why it took control of Kieran, which it was able to to do due to Kieran's desire to become stronger.

It’s very interesting the theory crafting we can make now, with Terapagos and this hidden Legend, now that we know from the trailer we are going even deeper into Area Zero. With Dokutaro sending its retainers after the Masks, likely for the Tera Shards embedded in them, it seems like it’s goal is Tera Crystals, or Tera Energy? If Terapagos is a ‘Guardian’ of Area Zero, maybe it decided to protect the lower levels of Area Zero and seal it off, so this evil legendary couldn’t go after the biggest source of the crystals currently on the planet? It would possibly make the Time Machine a doorway instead, to this lower realm perhaps?

Great video! The editing, pacing and script were very well done. I think it would be interesting to go through the Teal Mask again and take note of each time Kieran’s eyes have the white sparkle at the top versus when they do not. I think when the white sparkle is not there, Dokutaro is controlling/influencing him. Before he punches the shrine, the white is absent, but when he says “ow” the white reappears. In the latest trailer, there is no wire sparkle, and his hair appears more pink (like the Dokutaro plush) rather than the purple highlights he had in the Teal Mask. Maybe Dokutaro has bonded with him at this point in the trailer.

Just a thought. What if the trainer was someone we knew went into area zero, someone who didn't come back because they supposedly died. What if they come back? What if ogerpun uses us to get them back? Remember, if the crystals can allowed you to see the dead, and you bring ogerpun to area zero, maybe it's hidden wish to see his friend again would result in a meeting with the tree in the dlc part 2. No proof, but just what my mind flashed to at the end. Doubt it.

Dokutaro is the fruit of Glimmora. Glimmora is a flower with poison qualities and when one is fed enough tera energy, aka the loyal 3 stealing masks for it, it will produce a fruit that becomes Dokutaro which is a basterized version of Terapagos because it no longer needs Terapagos and now has enough tera energy to grant wishes on its own for its own gain.

This might have been said before, but regarding the "Loyal" Three, they actually share some parallels with the Doronbo Gang (Okidogi = Tonzura, Munkidori = Boyakky, and Fezandipiti (more or less) = Doronjo). The fact that they seem to have a higher-up who is controlling them from the shadows actually fits as well, considering that the Doronbo Gang also has a boss who gives orders from behind the scenes. Even the colors more or less match up. But, that's just a theory that's been in my mind for a while, so take it with a grain of salt.

Some really good points made in this video. However you missed a few things. The crystals in the pool are shaped like the baby form Terapagos. Does this mean this is where we find a baby Terapagos? Not sure. There is a theory that the Crater and the Pool were formed from the meteor breaking apart as it hit the Earth 1,000,000 years ago. The other thing is that the Eternatus and Calyrex comparison is quite apt. Terapagos and Dokutaro represent the power of the will or the soul (which is why we get a reference to the afterlife at the Pool) but in two different cases: good and bad, or desire and corrupted desire, which is greed. I think this in itself is a reference to the Garden of Eden or Paradise and the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of GOOD and BAD. But it also seems that they’ve merged the Tree of Knowledge with the Tree of Life here, as well as taking the bulk of inspiration from the powers imparted by the Peaches of Immortality in the Chinese myth which impart strength, wisdom and youth (or beauty) and equal status to the Sun and Moon (championship). Hope you found that as interesting as I did!

After the second DLC came out and we get to wittness the Mochi Mayhem incident... Yeah, it seems the speculation about Kieran being manipulated by Pecharunt has aged poorly. ...Or did it? What if Pecharu t tried to take over Kieran's mind but it failed either cause: 1.) Kieran focused so much on training himself instead of using shortcuts to gain power. As we wittnessed with Nemona, a strong attatchment to something (like battles) cannot be overwritten by Pecharunt's mind control. 2. Pecharunt wasn't strong enough to do so. If it was, the whole island would've been mind controlled long ago. The Pokémon needed a special Pecha berry the player gets as a mystery gift, ro gain enough power. 3.) Kieran and Carmine have went to BB academy and as a result the peach Pokémon couldn't proceed with its plans. The problem with what i just presented is, Kieran in the Area Zero adventure was going for a cheap shortcut to gain power, just so he could beat us. Still, maybe that's cause we've beat him in his strongest state, which totally broke him. Another problem is, the weird timing with how events happen in the gsme. You go to the location where Pecharunt hides, imitating a decoration, you get the mystery gift and trigger the event. Then you travel to your home and during your friend's visit you very quickly get the letter from Kieran and Carmine who came back from BB academy. Kieran said Carmine was acting weird around the time he wrote a letter. When did he came back to Kitakami and when did he wrote that letter? Clearly it couldn't be while you already were in Kitakami (being busy triggering the event) cause he just simply wasn't there. How long does it take for us to travel from Kitakami to Paldea and vice versa anyway? (We travel by plane so definitly it takes hours) How long would it take for Kieran's letter to reach us?

I wonder if the peach Pokémon will have something to do with the gracious stones of kitakami, a dead patch of grass in a stone circle that apparently 'raises the spirit' of those who gather around it. The place seems strange due to the fact that it is so dead that 'nothing will grow in the soil here' yet it also boosts people's morale(spirit)when they gather there. An odd contradiction to be sure.

I love how teal mask is actually a mirror of that story. Making Dokutaro a villain. Also that wasn't a glow that was rain water. He punched it when it sunny in my playthrough and there was literally no glow. I really do not think Kieran is possessed. He literally left to tell the village the truth. Why would Dokutaro allow him to spill the beans? Why possess Kieran at all instead of just possessing the one who had put the masks in the temple? I think that after death, the "Loyal Three" were actually freed from Dokutaro, but because Ogerpon was the reason they perished, merely wanted revenge on her. Also it's stated the mask maker put the gems in the mask long ago. Those gems are tera crystals.

It could be a more subtle change (since when kiren hit the monument he knew the loyal three story was bull) because pehacrunt knew Kiki wouldn't trust it so actully manipulated his darker emotions causing his change in Indigo disk that the after effects were stop in the Indigo disk and with the epolige we stop its malice for good

@elijahbruno2814 It doesn't have to come from Pecharunt's mochi. Kieran is already dealing with feelings of inadequacy because he can't win against our character or Carmine. Kieran's desire to be a winner for once in his life makes him want to try making Ogerpon a part of his team because he believes that having her on his team would make his desire a reality. Since this desire was similar to Pecharunt's desire to get revenge on Ogerpon, it caused the Loyal Three to revive and answer the call by going after the poor little ogre.

@@spenserfarman3045 That seems more like his obsession and insecurities with the player leading to his downward spiral more than influence that is never confirmed. The only thing that really isn't explained is the Lousy Three coming back but even then there's no sign of an outside influence just Kieran's obsession with Ogerpon. And to add to that, Kieran has no idea what's going on when everyone is possessed by the mochi nor does he have any clue about Pecharunt's existence until the moment everyone else sees it. Wouldn't there be a stronger influence and wouldn't it feel familiar if it was there? It's like looking deeper than surface level but instead of finding the definitive answer you start making your own explanations and theories to support what you believe from what you can infer based on what you saw

Plus, I never said Kieran had to be aware of Pecharunt or be under its direct influence to somewhat become a part of its revenge against Ogerpon. Kieran indeed could have been just doing all of this for his own selfishness, but those feelings could've still resonated with Pecharunt because deep down, it thought it could never truly satisfy its human parents. All I was trying to do is possibly find a reason for why both Ogerpon and Terapagos weren't interested in becoming Kieran's Pokémon and that it may have been because they could sense corruption within him. That's all.

I like the idea that the ultimate weapon that fired 3000 years ago landed in Paldeas Crater. The ultimate weapon hit a meteor in space and created Mega stones. Could it be possible that when that same energy (saying that it landed in paldea) created/altered a Pokemon that became the source of tera crystals? They feel like they resonate with the same energy as Megastones but instead of a meteor it hit the earth instead... Both gimmicks draw out the potential in Pokemon by altering it's form... In a way. Not as strong as megas but in different ways. I hope this makes some sense? Just throwing something out there to draw connections.

DLC just dropped alongside datamines. (Major spoilars ahead) He is right about the 5th legendary or shall we say Mythical pokemon. It was leaked in a datamine and will be added as a future event mythical similar to mythical pokemon in the past maybe alongside a new pokemon movie centered around it. The sign near the crystal pool however reference a whole different easter egg. In the area zero depths when reading the professors notes you can find a journal entry where they mention a child at a crystal lake in an faraway eastern land gave them a white book. That child is the player and thanks to the power of terapagos Prof. Turo/Sada was brought to the future for a split moment where the player gives them the book written by Ms.Briar on Terapagos and also named Miraidon/Koridon. The sign at the pool makes sense now since by the time of the story the real Sada and Turo are long gone(even at the start so thats why the AI dose not recall the player since its the AI not the real professor) and with the power of Terapagos(whom is responsible for the tera crystals and all) we managed to see the professor again once more.

I think Kieran also got possessed many people have alr said this along with KZbinrs plus in the indigo disk Kieran’s hair color is now almost fully purple or is that magenta? He wanted to get stronger just to defeat us cause we took the ogrepon from him so now he try’s getting revenge. Listen to this! you mentioned dokutaro is in the lady's shop in town, when the player lies to Kieran he was standing in front of the shop in front of dokutaro!!! That's when I think he was influenced, when the poison got on him, because after the lie that's when he stole the mask and that's why he went to the monument! because he was already poisoned he was being influenced right from when he ran to town and stood in front of the shop and when we lie! Now if you look back at the cutscene the player lies to Kieran, you will see they frame the scene strangely, usually the camera is focused on whoever is talking but if you look Kieran is off to the right of the frame so that the camera is panned enough to the left to show dokutaro that sits in the shop. I believe they did this on purpose to show us this is probably where Kieran is starting to be influenced by dokutaro. The moment the player lies, and dokutaro is sitting there on the side of the screen witnessing this and seeing and feeling Kieran's negative energy.

I doubt that they're being controlled. As stated: they go their seperate ways and wait in a position. Their leader isn't there to give orders or to do much. Kieran was just toxic, which is probably why he somehow got that purple aura, as the hidden legendary is nowhere near in sight, yet was probably able to tap into the "toxic power" through being a loser. At least that's how it seems and I could be wrong.

I have a really weird and slash unique Theory my theory is if you're all right about this we're going to see a demon Dark type version of Orca puns original master that body was corrupted in overtaken by Peach Boy Pokemon and this will eventually lead us back to the the slim and I mean slim chance of being able to reunite the dragons of Truth and ideas to face down against the loyal 3 and their Master peachin time for mini Theory Mini Theory one Olga ponds master is possibly it's a very medium mischance one of the leaders from black and white who were allies with the rulers at the time of Palladio and he could have found Olga Pawn but now for mini Theory two The Peach Boy is possibly some sort of Diancie type of stuff so here's my theory about The Tortoise and the Beach Boys my theory is they were originally two Pokemon that lived in paideia that will wipe out when the Ultimate Weapon hit but these two were at Ground Zero when the Ultimate Weapon hit one of them the tortoise was to terrestrial eyes in some Crystal becoming its new form the other one was directly under its blast killing it instantly I'm leaving only its ghostly poison shell after a long time of being Protectors of paideia jealousy festered within Peachling and yes I'm calling him that so after a decent fight Peachling was banished from area zero jealousy and raged filled Peachling and it's slowly poisoned his original fairy typing the last thing he possessed from his original alive days it's slowly poison him causing him to lose his vibrant pink colors and to become a dark shade of hot pink after being banished did the Galapagos tortoise Pokemon decided to guard area zero so no power hungry Pokemon like Peachling could get in soon Peachling met the loyal 3 as the original forms as a rockruff for the purple dog then he met a Infernape and then Pidgey and the rest after becoming the loyal 3 and after drowning organ's trainer is history.
