As a firefighter/medic I wound up getting a pair of these for vehicle rescue work. About half the cost of “rescue gloves” and twice the grip/dexterity. Good stuff. Love the channel.

Ok, so I snagged up a pair of these recently and really like them. A couple things I want to mention to anyone considering them: 1.) I was kind of in-between sizes per their measuring chart, so I went for the smaller size - totally a risk because they are heavily synthetic, which doesn’t break in like leather. My hands are about 9” around, so I was in the gray area between L and XL. Went L, and it worked for me because they have enough dexterity to handle being a little snug while they do the little breaking in that they can. 2.) They have a very serious “new glove” smell. That’s putting it lightly. Think somewhere between the lobby of a used tire store, and a sack of skunks pitched on a dumpster fire. I put them in my coat closet the other day and the whole thing smelled like them the next morning. I think it’s the knuckle pads and I’m really hoping it dissipates because, all humor aside, it’s really distracting to me while I wear them. Like, I get a whiff and think about the smell rather than shooting. Other than the Unwashed-Viking smell, these are seriously cool and well-made gloves. Also, my bucket list goal of having “GAME OVER” scrawled on my fingers... checked!

Hahaha, damn those sacks of skunks in a dumpster fire! I'm glad they are working for you, scent aside. I would suggest just leaving them out somewhere. I don't really remember mine being that pronounced, but who knows. Thanks for sharing buddy. :)

I have an XD .45 as my EDC. I think you mentioned guys like me in the video you put up on best being the enemy of good. I also have a 300 ultra mag... sigh. Anyway, the beefy spring in the .45 beats the hell out of my hands with little bangs and blisters. I’m really happy with these gloves. I joke, but I am. If yours didn’t have this Hobo-in-a-chemical-factory smell, it gives me hope.
@KitBadger6 жыл бұрын
Haha, hang in there buddy, it should go away. :)

So about 8 months later, I wanted to drop some more feedback on these gloves. The smell did finally go away, first and foremost. I really like how the gloves fit and how they’re constructed, and had a lot of fun with the lettering on the fingers. The knuckle pads are perfectly placed and do their job. I have to back up a couple points Ivan made in that the knuckle pads end up being more of an inconvenience because you can’t get into your own pockets with the gloves on. To take it a step further, I realized a few times that I wanted a pair of gloves that I could keep handy (ha, puns) for slightly frosty early morning soccer games with the kids and not shout out, “Hey, look at this gun guy with face-punch friendly knuckles.” Another point Ivan made is that the e-touch isn’t very accurate. True. In fact, I personally never even got it to work, and stopped trying. Another flaw that ended up being the deal-breaker is the material and cut in the little valley between index finger and thumb was a little loose and created a bit of a “pooch.” On my draws, I found that slack material often overlapping my beaver tail and obstructing my slide. Worse than that, I shoot a HK P30 and the material often landed and put pressure on the gun’s decocker, preventing it from firing at all. To be fair, the design of the gun is partly to blame, but regardless the gloves won’t work for me anymore. I’m officially retiring these gloves in exchange for Mechanix fast-fit gloves, which work so much better in every way for me and are less than half the price.

Although the Wartorn gloves look pretty cool, I feel like they would fit like a pair of leather gardening gloves, getting baggy over time as the leather stretches out. Okay, Digit hook and look fields? Jeeez... What is this, Battlefield 3? Oh wait... its Call of Duty. In all fairness, it seems kinda fun, but yeah, gimmicky. Obviously one hand is supposed to say "NAP" and the other "TIME". But then... "Suck Less" fits... That would be cool. Great vid as always... :)

Nice gloves , i see its winter but how warm and waterproof are they ? Look up bear claws , these things are SAVAGE tough polymer and super light . I keep one in the door of my suv and in my go bag . if it comes down to it i dont wanna be without mine .

They aren't "winter" gloves. They aren't terribly warm or waterproof.

I bet a stylus would work well on the edge of a fingertip for extra dexterity in touch screens. Do they make a less soldier looking pair in say Henry Ford black? I don’t wash my gloves in the machine. It ruins that screen manipulation material. Just hang them in the shower and leave them on your dashboard. Bro tip: I turn mine inside out and coat the material in coconut oil or obenhaufs bees wax to give them a level of water resistance and they condition your hands anytime you put them on.. No bullshit, obenhaufs works the best but I’ve done it with coconut oil too. The more leather the glove has the better the wax/oil trick works. I love some damn obenhaufs, it comes in a little black can it’s a Prime item. Put on a layer and leave them in the sun until the material won’t absorb anymore wax/oil and then their ready to put in work.
@KitBadger6 жыл бұрын
They offer these in Black as well as some other styles of gloves too. Pretty cool tip on the wax/oil treatment, I'll have to give that a shot. Thanks!

I'm very tall, 6'5, so I have longer fingers but not really large hands. I usually have a problem with gloves for that reason. The fingers usually aren't long enough. Can anyone comment on your experiences in that regard?
The optic is just a older Vortex. The light is a Klarus, one I was sent to review, in a Magpul Cantilever light mount.

Hello, I'm a tactical glove manufacturer, your video is very good, are you interested in testing gloves?
@tarmonkey6664 жыл бұрын
I got a pair & I can honestly say I'm not happy with them. They don't form fit to my hands well enough to use on the range. The BIGGEST reason I don't like them is because you CAN'T WASH THEM. You can't even hand wash or have them dry cleaned according to the instructions on the label. I've worn them once on the range & 3 times around town taking the bus & stuff in case I have to fight off the stupid drunks down at the light rail station. Certain parts of the material are starting to come off like the touchscreen pads on the first finger & thumb. The synthetic leather is easily scratched & gets scuff marks. The fabric itself on the inside of the hand seems like it's going to come apart in the not too distant future & as I've said, I've only worn them 4 times & not even doing heavy duty things. Literally 1 hour of range time & 3 trips on the city bus. The only thing I would recommend these for is for what I use them for now. Keeping them on when I have to go to the shitty part of town in case I get in a brawl with some bums or tweekers I hopefully won't get AIDS when I kick their asses because I have gloves protecting my hands from all of their blood. If you want good range gloves, check these out. I bought them to replace these Viktos pieces of shit & you can wash them & they have performed great for me twice on the range with no complaints. www.firsttactical.com/products/slash-flash-hard-knuckle-glove
