Your counters are beautiful! I have faith that whatever you pick for a backsplash will look wonderful! I've never used dark grout, but I think it's a good idea, especially with the lighter tile. It would show staining much less than lighter grout. As a side note, I thought the long gray tile looked great against your counter. Best of luck! 🌺

Maybe, Maybe? Try putting a sample of the tile You want on a piece of wood with a dark grout to see if you like it before you install it 😊

My idea would be to use the same counter top material for the backsplash. Keep it simple. It would match the countertop perfectly. No distractions. Simple, clean, ( no grout ). Use your decorations to add color. I love that sink!! Love your videos!!

Looks Great! I came across your channel by accident and I love it. I have 2 grown children. It is nice to watch younger people starting out I remember the days well my husband and myself would do our improvements in our home and doing we used to do one thing at a time and save for the next project. Being older we pay for a contractor now, we have earned it. Also I have a lady to clean my home, but I still enjoy doing things myself. We just renovated our kitchen and chose the white picket ceramic backsplash tile with BLACK grout! We absolutely LOVE the look however, my husband and I agree we will NEVER do black grout again! It was very difficult! We did it ourselves but that wasn’t the issue because when talking to a friend of ours that tiles for a living he agreed. We enjoy your videos and your home has really come together beautifully! Keep up the good work!

Hannah I would go with a gray grout. If you ever decided to change cabinet pulls etc then it would just be too much. I think black feels more like a bathroom??? Honestly I like the herringbone pattern with he gray in it. It does kind of blend in somewhat but I feel like you either want the counter to be the main attraction or the backlash. I've seen way too many times people try to go crazy with the backsplash and it makes the countertops just disappear or it just clashes too much. You could always grout the sample and then put those up and see what you can live with. Good luck! Its so hard to decide, ha!

Hannah your countertops are beautiful. You did a fantastic job picking that out. I had this countertop, but from Lowe’s. Please just a friendly note, if you use a crockpot or countertop cooker with heat element. Do Not place it in direct contact with the countertop. It will crack it. Ask your handy hubby to make you a cut round of wood or make a platform you can place under the heating element of the pots. To transfer the heat somewhere else. I learned the hard way I’m afraid.
