Only in theory. Had you been a professional kitchen fitter you wouldn't even write that comment as you would already know why small metal bracket is 3 fold better than any size timber incl sheet timber.

@@samsonacc8081 what are you talking about????? This is just used to hold the upper cabinet in place whilst you screw through the back of the cabinet into the wall studs. A thick 3/4 piece of wood is better than a 18.gauge tiny piece of metal ALL DAY. Why? Because it’s not even structural and I know my pre finish piece of 3/4 maple is more flat than some random L bracket that I flattened with my hammer. The scrap ply wood will ensure my cabinets are flat and square to the corresponding upper. Besides, I always have extra wood laying around after all my scribes and cuts, who wtf has all these metal brackets on them??? I’m not a kitchen “fitter” I’m actually a millworker/cabinet maker who installs the millwork and cabinets. You came in hot like a 17 yr old menstruating woman. Calm down maam Ps wtf is timber sheet timber?? Lmao I said THREE QUATER INCH PLYWOOD. My pieces are gonna be at least 6” so that’s 3” over hang compared to your tiny piece of metal that looked like 1 1/4 long at most
