You could always fix a piece of beading trim to hide the gap and paint it the colour of your ceiling 😊

I don't think the small gap at the top looks bad. It looks nice that the wood and cabinets match up to the perfect height. You could try to add a lighting strip in the gap to warm it up and look intentional.

or if you do add another piece at the top, do one to match the cabinets and one in the wood to keep the two-toned look
