Instead of waiting until every last end is tied up on the kitchen project, I decided I would show it off and do a final wrap up. I figured if I waited until every last thing was done, I would never get to this video. I have done many "before and after" video shots of the kitchen to help give a sense of the kitchen remodel. Although the functions of the kitchen are all in the same locations, the transformation is dramatic

Currently I am an architecture student. The comments you made at the end of the video are very inspiring. A unique building truly is a work of art just like any art form. Miles of thought, contemplation, and design go into a building and it is nice to hear somebody who has experienced designing a space in a home acknowledge what goes into designing of a livable space.

A large number of white surfaces in combination with wood and metal - looks very bright! Nice work! I like :) Highlighting the bottom of the kitchen 4:57 - it's beautiful, but it shows every speck of dust on the floor%), cleaning the kitchen with lighting will need to do very often :)))

Frank, 37" rocks. and so does the intrepid way you have accomplished this design & construction paradigm for your family's kitchen. have never seen video that built a "before & after" synopsis in such a graceful manner as what you developed. that was fun to anticipate as the scenes evolved. class act these visual stories in their unique way.

Hi Frank, like you said 14+ episodes but I for one have enjoyed every single one of them. The workmanship you have done on that kitchen is incredible from what it was before, mind you your old kitchen is better than what we have ha ha.Well done on what was a fantastic journey on a kitchen rebuild, and hopefully the wife was happy with it.Have a nice break for a bit as you have deserved it.Take Care,Barry from England.

So good, Frank! This series was so interesting and captivating to see all the process and the thinking behind such a big project. I love the final design and the chosen materials, specially the bamboo plywood. Amazing work! Oh and the videos themselves are fantastic as usual. One thing I've been noticing in your videos...in a few footage you seem to have a different (more blueish/movie look) white balance in relation to the other images. It seems to come from a particular camera. It's just something I notice and was curious to ask. :)

Excellent work. I appreciate when you show your lack of foresight rather than hiding it like it can be done when editing video. It makes me feel normal. Only 1 change I'd make considering your family opted out of wall cabinets, I'd make those floating shelves big enough to hold plates. That would look good and would be better functionally. I enjoyed eating my dinner as I watched the episodes - thanks for including so much detail. I'd watch even if they had even more detail - let others fast forward while some of us enjoy dinner or lunch though an episode.

Frank, your kitchen is so clean, I think you did a very good job. The simplicity is what makes one of these straight lined kitchens look so good. So many people over do the details and it makes a project look meaty. I'm sure you've earned a lot of points by now with the boss! With respect to the LEDs, and I apologize if someone else mentioned this as you get so many comments I don't have time to check, but there are aluminum extrusions you can buy that are anodized in many finishes that you can install these into. It works well for a few reasons, it provides a proper enclosure for the led strip tape light, protection from cleaning the floors or liquids, and a mechanism for installing a diffusion lense on the outside that snaps into place. The LED pixels no doubt show up on your counters under the shelves and toe kicks as you've realized. The diffusers really do a good job at breaking that fine bright light up that the LED pixels produce. If you send me a message I can recommend some inexpensive brands / links to sites that I have used in the past with success in similar applications. Lastly, 3m maxes thin adhesive tape that is permanent and will not fall off like the cheap adhesive these chinese manufacturers put on the back of them. If it ever does fail a little solvent will loosen it free, but it won't come off under normal circumstances. After like 24 hours this stuff is on there good and never gives out. Hope this helps, and keep up the good work. I look forward to more project videos!
