BEFORE YOU LEAVE A RUDE COMMENT: YES, I give my 15 lb Dog a bath in the kitchen sink. Our condo does not have a bathtub and I'm not about to take a shower with him. I wash and disinfect the sink first BEFORE (and after) I wash him to protect HIM from the harmful pathogens that could be lurking there. A muddy paw probably has fewer harmful pathogens than: 1. Your Cell Phone 2. A Public Door Knob 3. Your television remote control 4. The Sponge You're Probably Cleaning your Dishes with 5. The raw Chicken you're washing off in the sink Let's get some perspective people. If you're not washing and disinfecting the sink on a regular basis, then you have some cause for concern. Every time you wash your hands, you're also rinsing harmful pathogens down this sink as well. Dogs are not walking Noroviruses, they are mammals just like you and me and should be treated with respect.

When a laundry sink is not an option,(I do not have) that sink is the bomb, I will have when the remodel happens! no issues here.....
@niecybaby19604 жыл бұрын
Well, I guess you got them together... To each it's own. I wouldn't wash a dog in the kitchen sink nope just wouldn't. I wouldn't sleep with one either but I would with children. Hum.... Do you have to take a shower with him? You can't fill a basin and wash him in the shower? By now, he'd be use to it. Anyway, underneath that pretty little voice and body of yours is a MONSTER! LOL

My favorite cleaner....I have so many. I recently like Lysol antibacterial Orange for kitchen and bath. I like magic erasers- the dollar store one is just as good. I like aerosol glass cleaner for electronics. Bon Ami is nice, but I like Barkeeper's Friend cleanser better. The only Methods I like are Squirt n Mop wood and Stainless cleaner spray for appliances. I steam wood and tile and vinyl floors now with a shark steamer...but if i had to wash a tile or vinyl floor it would be Mr. Clean w/ febreeze hands down. For dish soap...Dawn 2x in blue . For bath tiles- Kaboom from the dollar store, wait and then wipe with water. I still use comet for scrubbing the toilet but use a press on cleaner like Lysol click gel in a rain scent- will have to scrub maybe 2x a month. I use Murphy's oil soap for antique and easily scratchable wood. I use microfiber cloths only on glass. They scratch a lot of things. For oven cleaning and stove top when bad..Dollar General Brand fumeless oven cleaner. Just a couple min on the burners (gas or elec). On gas stoves, wipe it on with a paper towel. In ovens leave it sit an hour then wipe and rinse well with water. I use baking soda and white vinegar mixed with water if I am missing any cleaner for any surface. That will polish up and silverware. Don't soak sterling more than 2 min. For windows, Windex Vinegar. Pledge with a soft cloth for modern wood. Not fond of the pledge 3 in 1. Love goo gone for what the youtuber says. Started using Fabuloso..cut with a LOT of water...and a tbsp of bleach. Done that way it smells a lot like amway LOC cleaner, for the outer hall I share with a neighbor-she likes Fabuloso. Did that to be neighborly and share the hall cleaning. Sorry so long...I used to have a house cleaning business :) Note: Painted range hoods. Use soap and water only, the dawn 2x is good. That heat resistant paint is really sensitive so NOO totally awesome, no oven cleaner, and only a light try with magic eraser.

My favorite cleaner under my sink is Basic H from Shakley which I mix with water in a spray bottle which I use to clean my counters & stove. I also use it for moping my floors. I just put water in the bucket and put in a couple drops in my bucket. It is environmentally safe and very economical. You can use it to clean things all over your house and can put it in your bath water. My husband uses it for body wash and shampoo. We are never without it. Great product. No, I am not a Shakley dealer.

What are the essential oils for in the cleaners? I have a lot of animals (ferret rescue) and most essential oils are harmful to them. But I like a good cleaner. Do they add anything other than smell?

I just moved into an apartment with a TINY kitchen. The plastic drainer I had under my stainless steel X shaped rack would not fit. So, I put a drying mat under the rack. Fits perfectly in the tiny shelf space between sink and fridge. I have washed the mat in dish soap and hung to dry then put it right back under the rack. I added a small plastic container with holes from the dollar store for cutlery. It's about 5" tall X 6" wide. It has a stainless handle that folds over, too. This is working out well. I miss my dishwasher a bit, though:(

Wash your pet in the kitchen sink? Really????
@TheOrganizedSoprano5 жыл бұрын
Yes. REALLY. Sinks get washed the same as any other area in my house. I happen to think a muddy paw is less gross than raw chicken 🤢 🤣 Seriously, this is the best option for little Clover as we don’t have a bathtub and you’ll find lots of people with small dogs pop them in the sink too after they’ve had a fun time getting dirty at the park! You know what has many more little nasty microbes on it? Your cell phone, girl! Thanks for watching and don’t forget the disinfectant 🤣❤️
