Hi Betty, I’m pretty sure that was a KitchenAid dishwasher but it would be also similar for a whirlpool dishwasher.

Great video. Straight and to the point. Much appreciated. My Kitchen Aid dishwasher does not have the spring and string setup, at least according to the drawings. It just has an arm hinge. If you have an updated video for that style hinge, that would be great. KDFM404KPS. Thanks.

Thank you! I want to pull the dishwasher door the other day and the thing went to the floor and crashed. I couldn’t believe it. We have had so many problems with this dishwasher. We’re eventually going to get another one, but we would like to string it along for a little longer.
