Very nice! I have my grandmother's old stand mixer, and have always wanted to have it re-worked. Such a blessing having a mechanical minded person at hand.

I did mine a few months back. You tube has several tutorials online and kitchen aid has a very good parts list. Keeping track of all screws and parts is key. I had to order a black knob and a gasket and it came in two days. Kitchen aid is the best and lasts through years of hard use! Thanks Howie!

Good job Howard. No folks, that isn't one of Bev's pastry brushes. Even though I use them for pastry brushes also. My husband is a body shop man also and he would bring me home tons of them to use in my kitchen. He also brought me body filler squeegees. They make excellent bench scrapers. I love your videos Bev and Howie

I have a kitchenaid from 2006 that I set aside and went and bought a new one last year. Where you put your attachments on the whole thing falls out with a big gear on top but it works great for awhile if you pound it back in! LOL!. They use to last forever ...my white one from 1987 is still going strong and the new one can't compete with it. Very awesome that you can fix them!

@CarnivoreChristian7773 жыл бұрын
@@OurHalfAcreHomestead Thank you! I did not expect a reply... I gave up on it. After I saw y'all fixing the mixers I looked on the web and kitchenaid/whirlpool says their 2006 professional series has a design flaw. No pin so they quickly returned to the pre 2006 design. Thinking they should of recalled them! They will give me 50% off towards a new mixer but I have no desire or means to buy another one right now so it will stay in my appliance graveyard. Still I would of never known without your video and I do find that very generous of them after 14 years. God Bless you!

This was really a great tutorial! I think if I follow along I could actually grease mine. These kinds of video's help us single/widowed women be able to do things. Like basic plumbing, it was 300 and some odd dollars for a guy to come out put washers in 3 different facets and a new toilet insert. Sucks. I went too Lowes and asked if they did classes for this sort of thing and they don't so any of these video's I am very interested in.

Bev at the end of the video it didn't look like the back of the mixer was seated all the way down. Might have just been the angel of the camera but you might have Howie check it. Might be why it didn't sound quit right. The first time I did mine I didn't have a video to watch on how to take it apart and put it all back together. I bet I called the manufacture about 10 times to make sure I was doing it correctly. Sorry about the Cowgirl was hoping it would be around for a few more years. If you can I would keep the whole mixer never know when you will need a part from the old one.
