I would go with a Kenwood any time. The beaters are all stainless steel and very heavy duty where in KitchenAid it's all very light and cheap feeling. The mounting of the beaters to the machine is also very different. KitchenAids used to have a spring right where the beater attaches to the machine, it stopped the beater from jumping up and down. I don't know why they stopped putting the spring there because you can clearly see that the beaters are very loosely hanging on there. Kenwood has a very sturdy mechanism for attaching the beaters. It just locks them in place. Overall I think that Kenwood is way more heavy duty and reliable. Bought Kenwood Kmix from Orion Professional Appliances who is also distributor for Kitchenaid stand mixers in INDIA.

Basically, a tilt head is for basic home use, and for frequent bakers. The max capacity is 5qt and is strong enough to knead dough and take on almost anythin with breaks. A bowl lift mixer is more powerful, it can knead large amounts of dough, they hv all metal gears and they are fit for a baking business or for a person who wants to knead dough and heavy ingredients daily
