As Ozzie Coe noted below, the pilot hole for the rear should be 11 3/4 from the front of the cabinet ( or 11 /3/8 from the front pilot hole.

Thanks for a very comprehensive video. Just one question. After I completed the whole installation and I leveled the shelf, once we put the Kitchen Aid Mixer on it, the shelf has a slight lean forward. Can this be adjusted out. Otherwise great appliance.

If the video itself shows a slight hang it's just part of the design

I just found in the instructions that it says to mount it "nose up" until the mixer is added.Once weighted, the shelf will level out.

can this be installed in already installed cabinets? I cant remove the cabinet.

My cupboard doesn't have the thick side walls, can I wood glue the 1/2 thick support pieces to the sides of the cabinet?

Do you adjust the first measurement if you have frameless cabinets?

Wrong information 11 3/8” from the first mark not from the face frame. You can also see in the video.

it seems you are compensating 3/4" for the frame

Yo fr the screws that attach the dampener are too long and they prevent the mixer arms from opening completely. I had to grind down a couple screws to make this function. I work rev a shelf everyday. This is not an intuitive installation

Sorry if I missed it but how deep a cabinet is required? Minimum depth. Was looking to build a rolling island and putting one of these in it. Thank you.

Minimum cabinet dimensions are 12"W, 23"D, and 23½" H

Must be easy because a carpenter didn't just do this. No carpenter would push a piece of material through a table saw from the outside of the blade and leave the cut piece between the blade and fence free to fire back if the blade catches it. Safety fail right there

Learn how to use a table saw!! That is an unsafe and stupid method of cutting wood!! No riving knife and your pushing from the outside against the blade? Are you trying to teach people how to have wood kick back and injure someone?
