Virginia resident here- just attended my county's board of supervisor mtg on Tuesday with 1800 other county residents to discuss 2nd amendment sanctuary because of proposed gun laws coming down the pike. It was approved 7-0, and one of the BOS members spoke candidly and what he said was true and terrifying. This is now a battle of good versus evil. If we lose our 2nd amendment rights we will then lose our first. He even told us that civil unrest may be what our democratic leaders in VA want because then they can implement martial law and still take the firearms. Our sheriff is standing with us and said he swore to uphold the constitution, not the BS our new democratic/socialist controlled state is getting ready to try to ream us with. As of yesterday, 42 of 95 counties in VA or now 2A sanctuary counties. The face of the next civil war will look different than 1865... But sir you are wrong. It is coming.

Good idea. Looking at voting map that isn't how they US has geographically divided itself though. Big metropolitan areas are democrat and rural areas are republican . It seems to be collectivists vs individualists? However, one side does control the food.

In my uneducated opinion there are probably two reasons. First when the SHTF, the banks will shut down, you will need cash to put gas in your vehicle and buy food until things get better. The mortgage company and car loans will still have to be paid, get behind and they will take your home and/or car, then what are you going to do. Also, if things don't get better there will still be a few fools that will accept cash for a while until they wake up. After the people wake up the only option left for use is gold and/or silver, they will recognize that it is real money. I assume that is why you are told to keep 2-3 months of cash reserve to cover expenses in an EMERGENCY, and boy is this going to be one.
