@@TheKitComplete should check the belt itself. Maybe it is too stretched. The humming sound in your video appeares when belt slips around platter. For me it works perfectly. Of course all should be installed properly. Good luck!

There are but as far as I know they are not very common and it is sometimes hard to find out which records are royalty free. Scratching has been in a grey area for some time now. Would you say the pt01 is a good buy, even though you need to upgrade almost every feature it has? I’m just starting out and a wondering if it’s worth getting into, or maybe it’s better to start at a higher level of a turntable…
@TheKitComplete2 жыл бұрын
It is a bit of a tricky question. In short I would say yes it's worth it. Even with all of the upgrades it is still a very cheap way of getting into scratching, possibly the cheapest. One thing to keep in mind when you're looking at full sized turntables is that for scratching you don't want to go with the cheapest model, especially avoid anything that is belt driven. You'll want to look at direct drive turntables. Plus you'll have to get your own mixer which adds to the cost. Depending where you are you might find a good deal on second hand goods. There are definitely pros and cons either way you go. For me going portable was the best option as I don't have the room for a permanent setup so being able to quickly and easily move/setup/pack away was a big factor in my choice. Hope that all helps

Hey, this is a fairly common problem with a few solutions. Firstly you can add a platter stabilizer or upgrade the whole platter. Less platter wobble helps a lot. If you need you can add some weight to the needle like a penny or something. Also when you are just starting there is a tendency to be very heavy handed. With time you’ll learn a lighter touch. I think it's great. And it is by far the cheapest and easiest way to get into scratching
@kevinzhang6623 Жыл бұрын
What crossfader did you buy?
@TheKitComplete Жыл бұрын
I got the old Jesse Dean fader. The new one is a little bit more expensive but has some good features the old one doesn't have jessedeancustoms.com/collections/portable-turntable-fader

Hi nice cuts! I got a pt 01 a couple of days ago, and i am getting a loud shhhhh sound when i open the fader, can you help me? I can't find any information on net about this problem that i am having

Hey, thanks! Without seeing it I'm not sure what the problem might be. Are you getting the same noise out of the speaker and the headphones?

Hey, is there any way to record your scrathing on pc with a beat?
@TheKitCompleteАй бұрын
Yeah definitely. You'd just need some kind of audio interface (to get audio to your pc) and some way of recording it (a DAW like ableton, fl studio, etc)

can u bypass the internal fader connecting to an analog mixer?
@TheKitComplete3 жыл бұрын
Not really. With the Jesse Dean mk2 fader it is possible but requires a bit of effort. If you are only going to use it with an external fader/mixer you could always get a regular pt01 USB
@ignitore3 жыл бұрын
@@TheKitComplete why? Letting the fader open and connecting rca output it should work as a regular table. I’d like to use as standalone or with mixer depend the situation. I saw videos using pt scratch with mixer and seems to work fine...

@@ignitore Yeah of course. That's not actually bypassing the fader though. But yes the setup you mentioned would work fine

So it's jessedeancustoms.com/ for the fader, bihari.bigcartel.com/ for the platter stabilizer, and the needle is just off of Amazon. This is the one I bought www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01JJ73BGY/

Bro I have felt that way many times. I can only say stick with it hey. @@TheKitComplete ok ok, i am new to beat machines/loop machines but i like it and want to get into it and i was wondering if i should get a standalone or software dependent machine. Can u shed some light on this thought pattern please and thanks
@TheKitComplete4 жыл бұрын
Hmmm both have there pro’s and con’s. For me, I started on software. I’m more comfortable with the workflow, file management etc. So when it came to picking between Maschine or a standalone equivalent I went with Maschine. But there is something about standalone hardware that is appealing. In the end it just comes down to what you feel most comfortable with, what you can afford, and what you think will be the most fun. Hope that helps
