Yes, we certainly use stingers on our kite baits when specifically targeting kings, especially during tournaments. Remember to keep the stinger short, 4" at most. Unlike nose hooking when flatlining, kite baits will be hooked in shoulder area with j-hook, and stinger will only be about three inches back by tail, so no need for long trace of wire. Capt Mike

An Albright knot will NOT cut the mono/fluoro, its bulletproof when tied correctly. - Capt Mike
