Those shoes are called Two-Toned Hush Puppies. Its not designed for popping, it is a dress shoe. The Electric Boogaloos used them when they danced and it became a part of the Popping culture ever since. The ones that Kite is wearing are either the Hush Puppies or the Balance Street Clothing version of the shoes which is exclusively sold in Japan.

I dunno... The more I watch the more I like Hozin... I don't think people appreciate how well he hits the beat, Kite does too... @10kyuu Oh thats because in popping foundation beats all. Boogaloo is the original popping so its poppings foundation. (Kite is boogaloo) Ofc other styles can win against foundation but that means you have to be reaaaally good. Personally I dont really like the rule that "foundation beats all" because when you dance, you do what you love right? :P Im still learning about popping so if im worng in any sense feel free to correct me

It's freestylin man. Neither of them had a routine. And if it looked like Kite came soft in the first round its because he knows how to battle. No one gives it their all in the start only to come up short in the final round.

I give it up to Kite. It's always harder to be first and for Kite antipate and improvise the moves that he made to the next series of beats was pretty amazing. That's not to say Hozin wasn't good. He had a chance to listen to the song and watch what Kite did first.
