Man, I don’t know if I’m the only one thinking this but this episode felt so weird to me. Like that first several minutes of dialogue, or all of it, felt like a completely new writing team, like so much of this episode was off putting to me sadly. Something just felt so off this episode and it’s not just Lance Reddick’s replacement voice. It felt like an entirely different team worked on this episode, for me, the only thing that saved it was Bane still being Bane and his epic tale without kissing his princess Rebecca 😂 but just watching episode 8 and going right into 9, like I’ve been watching a few episodes over every weekend going into the latest episode. I just watched 7-9… 7-8 flowed nicely, great episodes, this has been my favorite show of the summer to be honest but then going into episode 9 after watching 7-8 just felt so weird. I hate to say it but I honestly felt like, I don’t wanna say the entire episode but many parts, at least the first several minutes just to me seemed bad, like the characters didn’t even feel like themselves. Like I feel like whoever wrote this episode only had an on the surface understanding of these characters and just butchered Kiteman and his dialogue, especially from the very start and the whole diner bit. I know by Harley season 3, that they hired several LGBTQ+ writers for the writing team. I feared that the show would turn into something not funny in an effort to push woke shit but season 3 Harley ended up being one of my favorites. Not sure if it’s the same writing team for Kite Man Hell Yeah! But you can’t tell me that the same people that wrote the first 8 episodes had a heavy hand in this episode… there’s no way. Almost everything about this episode felt off. That chicken sparing the LGBTQ+ vegans didn’t help because it just supports me thinking that they either just let the LGBTQ+ writers take over this episode and they want nothing more than to just push their ideals on everyone at the cost of everyone’s quality experience. I’m not saying they can’t express them selves, just don’t be shitty about it. That but was so lame… like it wasn’t even funny. It was like the jokes they tried to put in that Dust Born game that completely flopped. The Harley animated series universe is too good. I really hope it doesn’t get destroyed by LGBTQ+ writers putting their wokeness over actual comedy and the overall quality of the show. Like episodes 1-8 I was laughing, the bits were funny but episode 9…. Ugh 😪😪😪 besides Bane, this episode felt really cringey to me.. hate to say it, but there were so many attempts at jokes that weren’t funny. I’m really sad to say that because this is my favorite cartoon universe at the moment

Just an additional nerdy bit because I’m still bummed after watching this episode last night. Like back in 2020 after watching Harley Quinn season 1-2 it quickly became one of my favorite, if not favorite shows. Before season 3 dropped I tried to fill the void with the Eat Kill Bang Tour comic book and others in the Harley Quinn animated series universe. I was fully expecting the comics to be good and funny like the show… the comics sucked ass. I couldn’t get past the 2nd page of the second book. The humor the author was trying to throw out was just cringe and bad. I was hoping it would be funny like the show but then when I looked at the creator of the comic books… 100% DEI.. Black disabled lesbian. Not that there’s anything wrong with that at all, I do not care about anyone’s ethnicity, sexual identity or whatever, but if you’re going to take on a project with a certain caliber… you better be able to deliver. Great writers and comedians bomb and fail, then they learn and get better. It seems like all these DEI hires just suck but we’re all suppose to praise them and their shit work because that’s cool in this woke climate… man.. don’t just hire someone because they check a box for your company to look good. They better deliver. This episode sucked asss to be honest. I’m worried for the season finale, might not even watch it if it’s as bad as episode 9. Like to erase episode 9 from my memory 😪
