For a long time Blue Lagoon was on my "places to visit" list. This unique kiteboarding spot is located near Red Sea not far away from Dahab city in Egypt. We took a boat and went there for overnight stay. Finally!

Hey Tadas would you recommending staying at the blue lagoon for the whole trip? Or doing like half half between there and Dahab?

Hey ! Dahab is definitely worth visiting. You can experience couple of spots there: little lagoon more for beginners, Baby Bay (offshore flat water spot) for more experienced riders. Also it is possible to go kiting in the city, near Asala. I would say if you are going there for 7-10 days organise trip to blue lagoon 1-2 nights and spend rest in Dahab ;) Hopefully you will get some good winds 🤞

To be honest I dont remember exact settings but yeah it should be smthg around 4K60fps wide/ultra wide :P

Whats your opinion for the action 2 in kitesurf?

Hey Leonidas, my experience was like this: Action 2 main unit was way lighter option than GoPro 10 to use with mouth bite mount. It was easy to hold it with my mouth. Big plus. Also Action 2 ultra wide is wider than GoPro SuperView and also was a big plus having more details on to the scene. Of course you can attach Max Lens to GoPro and get even wider angle but it means extra cost. Downside of the Action 2 was battery time. It was draining super fast. Maybe because I was filming on highest resolution - 4K60 I had to stop my session and go for a charge. To sum it up size, weight and wide angle is amazing for POV kitesurfing shots, but battery life is big downside. Maybe if you wont shoot maximum resolution it should last 1 hour session in the water. Thats my experience on November 2021. Maybe they did some software updates on the Action 2 improving battery time since then. I dont know. Cause Action camera should be trusted in action. Not the one who stops in the middle of the action.

@tizzleberg Hey, I used gopro mouth (bite) mount with no floaty. A little bit risky but i felt confident because Action 2 is lightweight. Additionally you can put extra strap to camera and fix it on your wetsuit for extra security. P.s. once I lost my GoPro while kitesurfing even it was with the orange floaty. So... no 100% guarantee :D
