Just out of curiosity. What would happen if conditions were to completely change and the wind suddenly switched direction or intensify? Is there a safe to do long distance rides or circumnavigate an island like this without a support boat? Do they carry some sort of radio to communicate to someone if they loose there board or they release there kite or any other problem? Doing something like this looks so cool but seems impossible to do safely without a support boat? Am I wrong? Not trying to shame Tom for doing something sketchy but just curious

Actually both he and sam had their parents on support boats, they also had their phones giving their positions live to friends and family for added safety
