@@willsimpson3783lil’ bit late, but if you’re still here to see, it’s the record of damage to a specific ship. (Random example: I did 300,000 damage with baltimore and got the world record for damage on wows legends)

third type of scoring: potential damage attracted, which these sorts of boats are built for. if you look at the battleship role as tanking damage, these kiting cruisers are built to bait bounced volleys and/or complete whiffs, similarly throwing alley-ops for teammates. "heads up, i think the glassonaire on the left is going full kevin costner as an opener..."

I very much like to use the German cruisers Königsberg and Nürnberg as kiting cruisers. When you kite away from a battle ship firing he shells continuesly while shifting the rudder every few seconds it will hardly ever hit you while you can burn them down over time.

Nice info. Reminds me why after a year playing I still love the Nurnberg so much. It’s best from cover but it can kite if needed. The armor isn’t amazing but the rate of fire opens up a lot of possibilities.

We need a potential damage counter like on PC. Open water dodge tanking is a critical role for some situations, a role I think more people would engage in if they saw a little counter tick up every time a volley sprayed water all over the deck. (Spotting ribbons and a spotting damage counter would have a similar effect for, well, spotting of course.) WG is already tracking these things - see stats page and havocs requiring potential damage as evidence - so give us the counters, or at the very least a detailed post battle page with that info. Nice work TBull. Stay salty!

@@lordredlead2336 Exactly. Having it in your Service Record does not help motivate people to dodge tank, but if it is popping up, it will. It needs to be popping up as a counter on the screen, much like the damage done, perhaps a font that is 60% the size, or AT LEAST have a detailed post-battle results screen, highlighting damage done to, taken from, potential damage, type of damage, etc. See the PC post battle results and counters. It exists there. No reason not to have it here.

The La Gallisoniere is probably my favorite ship for this because I can sit beside a cap and burn BBs and beam DDs without fear of getting pinned down because I can escape so fast and out run literally every other Cruiser in the tiers

If you have an aggressive enemy with tunnel vision you can employ this strategy to draw them into crossfires.

I have what may be a really dumb question. a ship sailing toward you bow on should (extremely vague I know) generally be shot with HE. What about a ship sailing away and showing you tail first?

Usually the ships have similar armor in the front and back

Thanks for the videos they're great content. I've noticed that you give a lot of direction to your team during game play. I have a question: when I'm on a team with a bunch of strangers, I hear lots of direction. Some are obviously idiots, but not all. How do I know which players are worth paying attention to?

Experience will help with this, watching tbulls stuff and taking the strategy into your games and always surveying the situation when someone hits the comms, if someone asks you to shoot a bow tanking BB at 16km at start of game because they're first spotted or spams the horn they're probably new to the game. Checking the mini map when someone hits the comms always gives you a good idea on whether a command is sensible or not

i wanna buy a tier 6 battleship...any advice? i like the warspite...don`t like the Mutsu to much..i had a 147 000 damage score in my second match in the Warspite! yes, and thank you...

Well if ur saying buy as in premium hood is great and famous and basically a bigger warspite scharnhorst has small guns with torps and is a brawler the poltava and ashitaka are underperformers

Have you used Lémmonier instead of Roux because in my opinion it feels better to kite with and it looks and feels more accurate than Roux and Lémmonier can get better range.

The range is a nice addition, but I really do not like kiting in cruisers with slow turret traverse. It temps the player to hold an exposed angle for some time while the guns catch up and lowers the damage per minute due to the amount of time the turrets are not in firing positions. There are certainly multiple and valid build options for any class of ship; this just happens to be my preference for these types of ships

I use Lemonnier too, mostly because he came with De Grasse, and I didn't get Roux until after the Commander system changed...funny, because I use Mikawa on the Japanese cruisers, and play them the same way...I guess I've just gotten used to slower turret traverse on the French ships, and it doesn't bother me... Another good kiting ship is Stylo's favorite, the Nurnberg...with 2 rear turrets using 360 traverse, von Muller with the range perk works very well.

I use both, but as tiers increase and you get more and more BBs camping the zone lines, it increasingly becomes necessary to use Roux (or someone similar). You need that extra mobility to avoid the heavier long range guns. There are a lot of 16" guns these days and you'll be seeing more and more calibers like 425mm, 430mm, 457mm, and 460mm (ultimately 520mm...) that can overmatch even 30mm hull plating. Then there's the matter of Alaska and the other super-heavy cruisers that will appear as time goes on. You need to be able to dodge incoming fire and the heads of up how you're being targeted gives you those few more seconds to start evasive maneuvers.

It is a nice and advanced playstyle, but on the other hand it is killing the game for bad players like me. These super agile HE spammers are super annoying in my eyes, although the coward hit n run tactic works well

Mostly because of their manueverablity, but also partly because they don't have the armor to brawl with Battleships that have 15" guns like the Wichita, Hipper, and Baltimore do.
