Merits of visiting the grave of Imam Husayn (a.s.)
Visiting the grave of Imam Husayn (a.s.) is recommended, while emphasis upon visiting his grave is among the necessities of the Religion.
It is related that the visitation to his grave is essential upon every believer and is obligatory upon every man and woman.
While one who abandons it, in fact, has abandoned the rights of Allah and His Prophet while abandoning it is ungratefulness with the Prophet of Allah (S) and is a result of a defect in his belief and Religion. And the one who deliberately avoids it, he shall be among the dwellers of hell.
Imam Muhammad al Baqir (a.s.) told Muhammad bin Muslim that, “Direct our Shi’ah to visit the grave of Husayn bin Ali (a.s.), for it has been made obligatory by Allah, the Mighty, the Sublime, upon every believer who considers Husayn (a.s.) to be his Imam”

نوحه کتنے دیے بجھے ہیں تب یہ دیا جلا ہے اے شام کی مسافر تیری ردا گئی ہے تو لاالہ بچا ہے اے شام کی مسافر جانا پھر اُس نے وہ سب جو وہ نہ جانتا تھا سمجھا وہ رب کا مطلب جو وہ نہ جانتا تھا دہلیز پر جو تیری آدم نے سر رکھا ہے اے شام کی مسافر شبیر کا لہو کیا یعنی خدا کا صدقہ توحید کیا ہے زینب تیری ردا کا صدقہ توحید بچ گئی ہے سر تیرا بے ردا ہے اے شام کی مسافر معصومہ قم کا دکھ بھی پیش نظر ہے لیکن صغری کی بھی ضعیفی پیشِ نظر ہے لیکن آنکھوں کے آگے تیری شہہ کا گلا کٹا ہے اے شام کی مسافر میدان حشر میں جب یہ قافلہ رکے گا زینب تری ردا کا ماتم خدا کرے گا کرب و بلا سے تیرا جو قافلہ چلا ہے اے شام کی مسافر بس ماتمی ہے تیرا ورنہ نوید کیا ہے کھاتا ہے تیرا صدقہ ورنہ نوید کیا ہے جو کچھ اسے ملا ہے سب تیری ہی عطا ہے اے شام کے مسافر
