Hi Mark, following your advice I mounted my flaperon counter weights last evening. Very simple! Next step since they are heavy is to take them to a machine shop and have them drill out a 1/2 inch hole about 2 inches deep, then I can add steel shot as needed to get each piece balanced then button it up with a sandable cap. Mark, we Cruzer builders really appreciate your excellent videos and the many helpful tips you provide. Now what are you going to do with that asymmetric elevator horn with internal bungee? How about a pulley set up or separation of the horn from the flaperon control system. Lots of complaints on that one. I have seen a pulley added behind the elevator horn to fix the original asymmetrical design but don’t know how well that works but the idea makes a lot of engineering sense. John Minatelli

How much difference do these make to the stick feel of roll? I have an 801 and the roll feels like a hot garbage truck...

Tip on the "two inch line" method: Take any short piece of flat bar, strip of aluminum, etc and place one corner at the center of the hole. Draw a line along the length of the piece of metal and another line at the end of metal(perpendicular to the original) intersecting the first line coming from the hole. Now place your piece that's to be attached over hole, then lay down your measuring piece of metal, align edges with lines and center punch at the corner. Lots of methods of skinning cats --- I try to find the simplest.
