The baby chicks seemed to have imprinted Coco as a parent/leader. Coco seems to be interested in this other very active lifeform that usually are confined in the transparent living space, and when roaming freely follows him, surrounds him, just standing around. I don't know why the chicks peck at the eye?? Coco also does not understand the pecking behavior and is insistent on finding some answer. Mimi is very cautious and stays away. 2:10 Coco also does not quite understand this falling down behavior of the baby chick who chirped in a more urgent tone while losing it's footing. It looks like Coco on witnessing the stumble mimics the chick, and dropped to a reclined position. Then he paws the egg like spheres that he had already mastered playing but cannot "catch". Perhaps Coco relates the spheres with baby chick. That is to master "playing" with baby chick but to not catch it. Otherwise baby chick may be unintentionally harmed if "caught". Though I was concerned with the eye pecking on Coco. I think Coco believes no harm would ever come to him in this home.
