Once in a while Gohan feeds raw chicken to the cats which is good. Cats need raw meat due to the special vitamins present in raw meat that raw fish don't have.

As for why, that is an intriging question. It may be a combo of being an oilier species and still having their guts in - both of which provide essential fatty acids and amino acids ... but that is just a blind guess on my part. Since their caretaker doesnt seem to include offal, nutritional instinct may be causing subtle cravings that explain such preferences. Again, just a blind guess.

Don't know if I remember correctly, but raw bones should be fine since they're flexible. It's cooked bones that are dangerous.

It is not bad, as per say, raw fish can contain bacteria for cats, it is better to feed cooked fish, as it contains more vitamins. Raw fish is better than nothing I guess
