I picked this as my next project because I'm absolutely in love with this artwork. However, kitting up did not go smoothly as I had a real battle with static on my hands! Join me for a kit'n'chat while I try to work through the static issues and get this painting ready to work on.

Hi Cat x Happy 22nd get together anniversary lol. I wonder how you are celebrating this year x This kit up made me smile. I loved the kit when you unbixed it and then i started to think um lively but the kitting up 😅. Im impressed you had enough room in your freezer for the drills. Dean thinks this hobbi has taken over the flat as it is without finding drills in the freezer. Thanks for keeping me company hun x ellie x

Hi Kat, I really enjoy your videos and you can chat about absolutely anything you want. Tips and tricks, answer questions and tell us about what's happening in your life. I listen and diamond paint often, watch the videos where you are unboxing or kitting down. I don't personally know anyone else who diamond paints so it feels like I'm enjoying my hobby with a friend. Keep up the good work! In Canada isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) is used as a cleaning agent for your skin. If you have a cut you can clean it with this clear liquid. It stings for sure, but it's used all the time. It's a staple in our medicine cabinets. I was wondering if it would help if you used a small kitchen funnel for the drill transfer from the bag to the pot. I bought a cheap one (hard sided) from our local dollar store and use it all the time. If you can pour the main part of the bag of drills into the container through the funnel and then put a piece of dryer sheet into the opened bag before dropping them into the tray for transfer it might work a bit better. I find the collapsible funnels hold the static, but the hard sided ones don't. Just a thought. Have a great week!

I had a kit recently that was so bad!! I did it all! The freezer worked ( 2 separate times in after I struggled to kit up) it worked for most but there were about 4 colors that actually were clumped and dirty. Those I washed.

I couldn’t tell if the freezer even helped much with these! Now I’m working on it, several of the colours are quite clumpy when poured in the tray, but they break apart easily so I think they are just clinging to each other with static rather than properly stuck together. It’s very strange - I have never worked with drills like these.

I usually pour out the majority of the bag into the container, then stick a dryer sheet in with the rest. Then I seal the open end of the bag with my fingers and shake it. Usually shaking the container with drills + dryer sheet gets rid of the rest. At least that has worked for me 😅

I watched during covid and got covid that turned into long covid. Well long covid and fibromyalgia brain forgot to like and comment. Something I really should do. Rubbing alcohol is isopropyl alcohol. It’s clear and smells bad 🤣 but it’s good at cleaning.

That kit came out during a particularly bad time for static, I think, before they put some things in place to reduce it. It was a lot 😂
