What's the difference beetween 2900x4600 and 4000 x 5600? Can people still buy the XL if the image is 2900x4600?

Good question - there is no difference (both sizes will result in an XL plate). The only difference I have seen is the larger the size, the better the chance of it being accepted (because the larger size means that when shrunk to 2900 x 4060, the image has a greater chance of being 300 dots per inch.

Absolutely, I was using Displate as an example but Kittl is awesome for t-shirt designs (or really any print-on-demand product).

I am sorry to hear that. I've had the opposite experience - I have done maybe 10 uploads a week and my sales are stronger than ever. I would say keep uploading and seeing what the top sellers are!

When I applied (about 4 years ago), I had a decent portfolio on Behance and just showed them that. I hear they are pretty stingy with who they accept these days.

Hey Zen, where on Earth is the crop button on Kittl? I think I might've pressed every button on the platform over the last month and still can't figure out how to crop an image on it. Please reveal its top secret location if you are privy to such information...?

There isn't one. Question, are you trying to crop an individual element within your project or the entire project art board?

@@brians9072 Hi Brian. Yes, I am referring to cropping elements... so there is no way to crop elements on Kittl? I appreciate you taking the time to let me know, but I really hope that you are wrong, because a crop tool seems like it should be the most basic function of a graphic application. I guess maybe the platform is still developing as they are relatively new... but if you're right, I do hope a crop tool is in the works as there is so much other "advance but user-friendly" image manipulation tools on it- why not a crop? Fingers crossed. Cheers mate

@@zinnie6420 I can imagine it or something like it is in the works. They roll out new features weekly. If you're looking for a work around you can try 'masks'. Kittl has a mask video on their channel. Takes a minute to figure out and get use to but it can work depending on what you're trying to accomplish. They also have a discord group where you can ask anything.

​@@brians9072 Hi again Brian, thanks for the pointers. Yean, it's gotta be something that's on their to-do list. I cant imagine that a design tool that has such an incredible text manipulator isn't going to eventually end up with a crop function. They probably decided to just initially concentrate on functions that would distinguish them from the other design platforms out there... but they're just getting started, and for sure the best is yet to come. I use a lot of masking in Canva, but have only dabbled a little bit with kittls masks. I source a lot of graphics from Creative Fabrica, but I like to edit the elements as much as possible (often by cropping). So, I kind of have to bounce things between Creative Fabrica, Canva, Affinity Designer, Ibis Paint and Kittl, and I'm always on the lookout for tools that save me time. I'm not on the discord yet, but to your point, what won me over to Kittl was just how engaged they are with their community. I get the vibe that they are the kind of company that will really take the community and customer comments, criticisms and suggestions to heart. Who knows, maybe they end up reading this comment and will be all like "oh yeah, remember that crop tool that we put on the back burner... might be a good time" LOL. Anyways, thanks again for taking the time to help out a Kittl newbie. Maybe we'll run into each other in the next Zen Watercooler meditation session : ) All the best✌

Hi Zen, first of all thanks for all the effort you put into displate I really enjoy watching your video and you inspired me to open my own shop 2 months ago. But I have one problem with displate and wanted to ask you if you experienced something similar. My best selling displate is somehow not in its collection anymore and it is not findable via search. But it is not deactivated since I can still see the "published" status on the upload history. When clicking on the link the page says something like: oops something went wrong That is really strange since as I said it was not deactivated. Did you experience something similar once?

​@@lonelyguts5220 yeah, I created a portfolio on Artstation with about 30 images which had high resolutions. Afterwards I sent them the link to my portfolio and wrote a little bit about myself, what I am doing right now, who I am and what I am aiming for. You have to put time and effort into your portfolio since this is all they see from your art

I was suspended as well a couple weeks ago. I have no idea why? Zero copyright issues since all of my stuff was completely original. I tried to appeal and they only respond with a generic email. I gave up there.

It's a great question - they SAY they are, and some Reddit threads do have people saying that they have been accepted. They definitely are not just accepting anyone, that is for sure - all I can say is keep trying!

Do you've problems with not accepted designs? I am like uploading 10 every day since 3 months and only got 322 on the website... :( i am producing AI art. If the first gets rejected, all others get rejected too.. Even if I upload a 300DPI high quality only Text Displate it gets sometimes rejected.. Support told me: Human Error

Yes I absolutely have that problem. Sometimes if the design is rejected, I will open it in Kittl again, move one tiny of the design up or down 0.1 inch and then resubmit (so it is technically not the same design) and it gets accepted. So it is definitely a Displate issue (not human error). Frustrating!

I have the same problem. Wrote an email to the support. All I can tell you is that if your image has good quality but has just a little bit of blur in it the system will probably not accept the image since it can result in pixelation when printing large size displates

Displate royalties are extremely low so I'm not sure it worth the effort.
