I don't know about Gadget, but I'd be meowing for another ride on the elevator. Weeeee... I have a rescue feral kitten. She's NOT a box kitty nor a lap kitty. she's a floor kitty and she loves a boop to the snoot. I call her my Agent of Chaos. So glad you have such a sweet kitty. Furry family members sure do bring joy to the home.
