As with Debbie Smith I got to meet this beautiful lady some years ago while on a country music crawl around the states,I couldn't believe just how accommodating she was ,she mixed with the audience and you could have mistaken her for one of us , unfortunately with the loss of all these greats those days are gone and sadly we will never see the likes of them again, just so thankful that I got to live through the era of true country music, cheers from Tasmania

This makes me think of my father. When he was stationed in Germany in the early '50s, he and his buddies listened to a lot of country music, because it reminded them of home. Kitty Wells and Webb Pierce were always his favorites.
