I see a lot of opinions against this item, I have it and I think is great, look wise better than what yamato sells as premium, as a perfect transformation product better than a hi-metal, all that said it has many flawes like in the fitting and looseness, but is clearly a great effort and I think many people that hold Arcadia highly are doing it unfairly due to Yamato's legacy. We should expect more and for sure Kitzconcept is trying

People forget that licensing can make these adult type Fan Toys make the price jump up. The detail on these Kitsconcept is really good at its price point. Arcadia tries to double dip the consumer offering a premium finish for double the pricing. Panel lining and decals and paint should already come on something at the $250-$300 price point. The panel lining as well as emblems as well as the liting gimmicks make this a Valkyrie you don't want to miss out.

Waiting on this from Big Bad. I panel lined the missiles that came with the veritech and will probably do these too. Makes them look a lot better. Also tempted to cut a slot in the outer panels for easier access to the light switches if they're that much of a pain in the ass to open.

I’ve been waiting since February for the Valkyrie/super armor. I noticed that they didn’t have the skull squadron logo on the super armor, kinda weird as it shouldn’t be that way. Overall I’m excited to get mine and your review keeps me fully informed on what I’m getting.

The Skull logo on Fast Packs is only used in Macross DYRL. This is a Robotech branded toy, so the logos are what is seen on SDF Macross or Robotech.

Yes! If you're going to use it in fighter mode, I did find the pegs that attach the back of the plane to back of the leg armors were CRAZY tight but otherwise everything worked fine.

how did you get the gun to attach? It uses the space that the armor clicks into. I have been unable to get it to stay with the armor installed

The forearm armor has the same gun holding area as the forearm itself. In fighter mode, the tabs from the legs should peg in between the forearm and the armor. This keeps the arms nice and tight together and should make a snug fit for the gun.

@@ScorchedEarthToysthanks, I finially got it, I had to look back on yours because I didn't realize the legs can't straighten out due to the peg and armor. Unfortunately I just broke the ball joint off one of the arms. Mine was falling off all the time , I also didn't get batteries included! While nice to look at the figure is too fragile and loose for the high price point. I don't know if I will get batteries either because it is a real pain in the butt to take off the covers to turn them on! I also think that the covers will break if used too often. I pre-ordered this last September and it was a Christmas gift. Truth be known ,I would be much , much happier if I heard a 3rd party company was over sizing and re releasing the original Macross ripoff..... Transformers 1985 JETFIRE . I also wanted to let you know, not to be a stickler or anything , but you still have the intake covers on the fighter jet. :)

@@obsessedfortoys Fast Packs are for space operation only, the intake covers stay on in fighter/Guardian modes. Sounds like the Bandai DX 1/48 toy would be more up your alley but they're kinda impossible to snag.

@@obsessedfortoys There is a third party company making a version of the original Macross veritech that Jetfire was based on. Saw them a few months ago on Ebay right before I ordered the KitzConcept model. Thought they were pricey for the apparent quality as the KitzConcept one wasn't too much more and looks way better. Sorry to hear about the arm breakage. That sucks.

The tail fins look sloppy folded like that. Is that because of the clear bracket?

No, that's just an issue with the underlying toy, the stabilizers can move out of proper position pretty easily when folded.

No, very different sizes. You would want to find armor from a Bandai 1/55 Valkyrie to fit G1 Jetfire.

I would say no. There is Joons a Korean brand that is cheap to purchase but also cheap made. But it is perfect for kids. I gave my nephews my Joons and within minutes they were throwing it around mimicking flight. So save yourself the heartache and get your kids a Joons.

The money value is simply no where in this, it is a mess of a kit. One of the worst of the cuff purchases I ever made. Never again kitzconcept.
