Kiwi Drop

The drop in the video is too slow. To do this correctly: 1. Hoist the jib, using the windward sheet to control it. 2. Clear and stow the pole, and free fly the kite. 3. Sheet in the kite to stretch the foot into the boat. 4. Jibe the boat. 5. When the kite comes in over the deck, completely blow the halyard. 5. The kite will then neatly drop onto the deck. 5. The jib and main prevent the kite from blowing off to the new leeward. When done correctly, this is the fastest and safest way to douse a kite.
