We got a 8 month old male. We are in Auckland. He bonded with my wife doesnt really want to spend time with me. He gave a nasty bite and bit me in the ear. Massive beak

Yep. the same as my one. In the beginning, when i got him. I couldn't even touch him. He gave nasty bites to my fingers on my hands and bit me in the ear. My fingers were bleeding many times, but I can say that after 3 months, we are good friends now. He is doing the same to my partner because she is not spending enough time with him. Yes, his beak is massive and powerful. Just be careful when he is closer to your eyes. He bit me under my eye once.

Hi. Yes, I read about that 20 years ago. I never had any issues with my Cockatiels and Eastern Rosellas in my life. I was doing the same with both. I am sure it is going to be the same with my Kiwi. He would be sick already. I think it depends on how you are feeding your parrot and his diet. Healthy diet healthy bird 🦜
