Tonally they are very different, with the Kara leaning warm and smooth while the Quintet being natural with more detail. Completely agree with you on the looks department!

Wow you’ve got me intrigued. If it’s a toss up with AE it’s got to be something special. Interestingly I find the AS24 is able to trade blows with AE. It seems we may see more iems of such caliber at a lower price point. Thanks for the great review Ted.

I can foresee that for some folks that it might have an elevated treble. I personally enjoy this but if you are sensitive, pick a smaller bore eartips such as the final type E

Great review - thanks! How would you rank it relative to S12 Pro and Tea2? A lot of others have complained about the metallic treble timbre, did this not bother you? Not sure what’s to blame for this but piezo tweeters were used in cheap PA speakers in the 80s but fell out of favour because they sounded so unnatural and terrible. On the other hand, silver-plated copper cables always have that splashy and brittle glare to the sound so could be the culprit depending on source.

Ah I think that it is more technical compared to the S12 Pro but the S12 Pro sounds more cohesive. I think Piezo Tweeters are not as airy as EST but I cannot really complain at this price proint. Perhaps try a warmer dongle/dap. I do not find the tone to be that metallic.

Biggest would be in terms of tone. Quintet is a quadbrid design so it is less cohesive than the A5000. You won't go wrong either way.

I think they will all do ok. I liked the Magic one but you need a decent dongle dac to drive them properly. The Quintets can be a little bright for the genre that yo ulisten to. personally I would opt for the Truth Ear Project Red or Nova.

@@jaronefarrell3047 If you are starting out the ifi go link is really decent. I did a review of that a while back. You can consider the colorfly CDA M1 or M1P as well. They are very good budget options!

They are quite different tonally. Heyday is a natural-warmish IEM that has thicker tonal weight compared to Quintet. Quintet sounds more nimble and articulate compared to Heyday. Which to pick really depends on your taste :)!

Not really. I'm using the Lotoo PAW S2 and Gold Touch. It is thinner and more nile not not really metallic to me.

The EA500 is very good don't get me wrong and they are priced quite a bit cheaper than the Quintet. It is a very good technical IEM for the price. I can see how the Quintet is similar to the EA500. The Quintet has better technicalities when compared to the EA500.

Since you've reviewed the orchestra lite, how would you compare it with the quintet?

The Orchestra Lite has a very Balanced Armature tone. I found that midrange on the Orchestralite was not as resolving as i'd like. Tonally, it is slightly warmer than the Quintet. I personally prefer the Quintet as it has quite a bit more resolution.

The best thing about blessing 3 is how easy this IEM to drive, You don't need Expensive DAC/dap You don't need big power you don't need Ballance cable to make the sound sounds good, In fact if you have 3,5 mm jack on your phone you can just Put it there and it already sounds good

It is a mild V shape, as such vocals sit a little back but I still think it sounds pretty balanced. It isn't an IEM for in your face mids. haha
