WHY hasn't Billy gotten any of the nods from the music industry? He has had so many great songs and hits yet he's never mentioned on the award shows. Just wrong. I absolutely LOVE his voice and his COUNTRY sound.

+gatorftbllvr From its management side, I cannot stand the music industry. I worked for a law firm for about 10 years that specialized in the "entertainment" side of law. BTW, this is my own personal opinion. I don't think that Billy plays by the industry's "rules". When he needed to take a significant period of time off, management's "response" was "What? What about the current tour?" I read an interview with him responding. He got the time off. I believe he maintained the same label. I honestly believe, after some events earlier this year, he wasn't joking when he said "I don't need this." His voice, his music, the amount of energy he tosses out to the crowd, are all incredible.

I figured it was a "behind the scenes" reason. He has had so many hits and yet nothing from the award people but that's ok. He's still making a great living and the fans are all that matter to a true artist in the end anyway. ;)

Kix that was a fantastic interview with Billy!! He is SOOO UNDERRATED, & ABSOLUTELY SHOULD BE TAKING HOME AWARDS, NOT JUST WATCHING & GETTING TOGETHER WITH FRIENDS. HE BELONGS ON STAGE!! I have to admit that when I first heard Billy Currington sing with Shaniah Twain I wasn't a fan. When he put out his first album I was hooked. He is country current. Most of all he is country. I grew up with King George so I know country. Thanks for the memories Billy.
