Nothing in UK law about flippers. There was a debate in the Commons, a year or so ago, regarding knives which could be opened easily with one hand. The decision was to leave the law unchanged. Arguments for this were based on people in situations where only one hand is free and, obviously, people with disabilities or even having only one hand. I follow legislation closely. Wouldn’t like to see another “John Prescott took my guns away”

I like the looks of the design, but I agree with whoever said they should ditch the prybar and extend the g10 down the whole handle. I think it would look even nicer, and would probably be a bit more comfortable in hand. Thanks for showing this one, buddy.

At first thought similar to the Kizer WPK, but having watched this, vastly different! I’ll be reviewing the WPK soon, and will contrast it with this.

I have a very nice budget slip joint from Sanrenmu that has a similar, but much more elegant, pin to turn it into a locking knife. If you have not checked it out you can see my older review of on my channel or just search online for Sanrenmu 9165. I am planning on grabbing a Catshark myself. Canadian knife law is also a bit fuzzy, which rather sucks, but thankfully is it a bit more open in that we can carry one hand opening locking folders without needing a "reason" to do so, but if the wrong reason is given we can get in trouble - such as saying we have it for self defense.

I'll have to have a look at the Sanrenmu, cheers! Be interesting to hear your thoughts on the Catshark as well. Claiming anything is carried for self defense over here will land you in trouble as well, very tough laws though you've slightly fewer restrictions (envy ensues).

I still don't understand this flipper tab business, if HH happily sell the CRKT symmetry and Boker Wasabi for carry then why not other non-locking flippers? I've ordered the black flipper one from AliExpress along with a lot of other Kizers, they had a sale on a few weeks ago and it cost about £50 total. I won't be scared to carry it, as far as I'm concerned it's automatic and assisted knives that are prohibited, anything where the blade opens automatically after you start it off with a button or other device. By the way, Kizer told me that they are releasing a micarta ZipSlip soon if that interests you, I love micarta so I'll be picking one up for sure!

Take it with a grain of salt, it was being discussed wether or not to update the legal definition of a flick knife to include certain elements such as a flipper tab, it seems that it didn't go through and flippers are fine but again, I'm just some schmuck on KZbin.

Thanks for the review! Been waiting on somebody to check this chunky little bugger out. I'm still not sure about that prybar extension though. How do you feel it compares to the Heinnie Hayne's pilar having handled both? The pilar is pretty much the one knife that's always on me these days

I like the action on this more and I prefer n690 to 8cr13mov, that said, the pilar is less gimmicky and has imo a more functional blade shape, I suppose I slightly prefer this for the action and steel but there's not much in it!
