That’s nice to say. I was rooting for NY, they were my pre season sleepers. Been a tough year for y’all, thanks for the good wishes. From the little I’ve seen from Williams his pursuit inside out, like you said, is what stands out the most to me. Scary agility and quickness for his size, and something that was lacking for the hawks was inside out pursuit. Too many 3-7 yard runs that just barley turn the corner , also I’m hoping is savvy in the screen game.

Greedy ownership. The Mariners are the most profitable franchise in MLB. Not the Yankees, not the Dodgers, not the Red Sox, not the Cubs. The Mariners. Their payroll is minuscule compared to other teams making a run. No need to pay a 30+ y.o. a third of a billion dollars for a decade long commitment, but they were short on bats all year and traded away their closer, their most clutch bullpen arm right when they’re trying to make a run?! All for depth pieces. Sure, Canzone and Rojas are pretty solid and fun, but they’re just depth pieces, not impact bats that opponents have to pitch around. The best thing about this World Series is that either way Mariners ownership and management come away with egg on their face: either Texas shows that you can indeed spend your way to a championship OR Paul Sewald gets a ring. But it’s okay, Management will only have egg on 54% of their face.

Imagine being told that in 3 days you'll be working in a new job, on the opposite coast, leaving your home, friends, and co-workers that you've had for 8+ years. Don't matter how much money you have in the bank- It's a big change both logistically and emotionally. I didn't hear him whining at his press conference today. Just grateful for the opportunity. Grant it, far easier with money and the opportunities he has compared to 99% of the population. Still a big deal
