This is an Ok song, and I love this line up. Expecting more distinct sound, intro right out of Nostradamus. More AJ Mills KK dueling. Last , band clearly needs to be called KK's Steel Mill. That said, I agree, I want to see this band, oh yeah.

I'm ok with .... predictable. Sometimes all you need is a good ol classic sound. If it ain't broken don't fix it

Well you know KK founded JP and is also responisble for the name (which he took from an existing band). That plus writing, performing and producing 40 years of music with JP, including co-writing all the classics. So as he can't rejoin he old friends but also cant reinvent the thing he built his life on KK's Priest seems like an understandable choice too me. Remember he isnt doing a solo album..but continuing were he left off.

Hellfire Thunderbolt -- an obvious reference to Milton -- Jesus knocking Lucifer out of Heaven with a single Thunderbolt, sending him to Hell -- "Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven," said Satan in Book I of Paradise Lost.

I didn't get that reference at all. Just because that's the name of the song doesn't mean it's about that at all. Lol

I'm looking forward to the album and any touring because we might get to hear a lot of the Ripper era Priest songs live again. Especially since Priest likes to pretend those albums don't exist. Just look at the Complete Album Collection they put out. Yeah..all the albums with Rob. Jugulator, Demolition and Live Meltdown are all missing. I even saw a comment from Rob recently when asked about those albums and possible performance of some of Ripper's songs when they do their 50 Years tours. Rob actually said he hadn't even listened to them because he wasn't in the band at that time and he had no interest in in it.

Halford is a drama queen, i doubt he would want to perform together with Ripper, especially when he is not that young so he will fall behind, dude didn't even sing the songs from Ripper Era.
@TheRealMediaMan3 жыл бұрын
I mean. I guess I could understand that. But let's be honest. Hasn't Rob earned the right to be a drama queen? Dude is beyond a legend.

@johndiamond40883 жыл бұрын
It's massively generic with terrible lyrics. It's over produced. KK can still play but I can see why Rob and Glenn aren't interested in his contributions in Judas Priest. At least Redeemer Of Souls and Firepower are classic heavy metal and sound closer to Screaming For Vengeance and Defenders Of The Faith with original styles. This is Primal Fear new Hammerfall and Sabaton unoriginal power metal more than it sounds heavy metal. And KK knew damn well Les Binks couldn't play this style of drums when he was writing this material and claims Les has a wrist injury,ain't no way in hell with perfect wrists could Les remotely play what Sean is playing Les simply doesn't have the CHOPS. But when his wrist is healed he still isn't allowed to take over on drums of course he's allowed to come out for a couple easy songs off Stained Class and Hell Bent For Leather. Nice 👌 Very nice of KK to write material that Les can't play.

KK was the soul of Judas ...this was far better than the last Judas albums...more close to Jugulator sound
@basroemer67643 жыл бұрын
I think you are totally wrong here. Redeemer and Fire Power are very 'produced' albums with use of many amps sounds like the new EVH amps by not one but even two producers involved. Especially Fire Power is edited incl drum replacement, mixed and compressed like no Priest album before. That's Andy Speap for you. I'm not saying it's a bad thing..sounds great, but it's the opposite from their classic albums. Listening to Hellfire Thunderbolt I hear classic Marshall sound and natural drums. It sounds modern and good, but certainely not as 'modern produced' as Firepower.
@ciudadanosdelcosmos3 жыл бұрын
@@basroemer6764 I understand you,,for me reedemers was a bad album,,not firepower,,but from my point of view is not about ´´ modern produced´´, if not that primitive, angry sound and xp feeling that only KK can give us ,and from the other side today Ripper (of course is younger)voice is better than Halford . I have to admit for me judas with out KK is not Judas. He was Judas Priest. but respect your opinion! keep metal. sorry for my english
