Summary :
ஏனோக்கு (Enoch, எபிரேய மொழி:חֲנוֹךְ; அரபு மொழி: إدريس‎ ʼIdrīs) என்பவர் வேதாகமத்தின் படி, நோவாவின் தந்தையான மெத்துசேலாவின் தந்தை. இவர் ஆதாமுக்குப் பின், சேத்து வழிவந்த ஏழாம் தலைமுறையை சேர்ந்தவர்.
இவரின் தந்தை எரேதுக்கு நூற்று அறுபத்திரண்டு வயதானபோது, இவர் பிறந்ததாக வேதாகமத்தின் கூறுகின்றது. ஏனோக்கு என்ற பெயருக்கு அர்ப்பணிப்பு என்று பொருள்.
வேதாகமத்தின் பழைய ஏற்பாட்டில் இவரைப்பற்றிக் குறிக்கையில், "ஏனோக்குக்கு அறுபத்தைந்து வயதானபோது, அவனுக்கு மெத்துசேலா பிறந்தான்.
மெத்துசேலா பிறந்தபின், ஏனோக்கு முந்நூறு ஆண்டுகள் கடவுளோடு நடந்தான். ஏனோக்கிற்குப் புதல்வரும் புதல்வியரும் பிறந்தனர்.
ஏனோக்கு மொத்தம் முந்நூற்று அறுபத்தைந்து ஆண்டுகள் வாழ்ந்தான். ஏனோக்கு கடவுளோடு நடந்து கொண்டிருந்தான். பின்பு அவனைக் காணவில்லை. ஏனெனில் கடவுள் அவனை எடுத்துக்கொண்டார்." (தொடக்க நூல் 5: 20-24)
