It seems like you don't watch Test matches or just check out the scorecard. Every series this ICT has had massive collapses in the top 4, real batting only begins with Pant at 5 and goes until Axar. India is dominant at home because they can survive collapses and still make a decent score with the likes of Axar/Shardul without sacrificing the bowling too much.

Cheeka, turning track will backfire. It evens out considerably. Don't talk rubbish saying that NZ doesn't have any spinners. Remember ordinary bowlers like Steve O'Keeffe, Tod Murphy, Hartley, Basheer etc all have troubled India. India are no more comfortable playing spinners. Chumma varanum, ennathayo olaranum and Campa va promote pannanum. Edhu dhan velai ongallukku.

If we deep dive into KL Rahul's stat to throw him away then it would be fair to examine other's stats. For example, Rohit hasn't probed his class in test cricket. Be it in Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, England. He hasn't done much in SENA tests. Note: Rohit hasn't scored even a single 50+ score in a test inning in South Africa. Thus, KL Rahul and Sarfaraz are deserved to play. The playing 11 should be as; 1. S. Gill, 2. Y. Jaiswal, 3. KL Rahul (c), 4. V. Kohli, 5. S. Khan, 6. R. Pant (wk), 7. R. Jadeja, 8. R. Ashwin, 9. A. KL is a great player without doubt but I feel he is either got injured at the wrong time or he has not been performing consistently. I would hope he plays the remaining domestic season this yr and probably play a full county season(first class and List A) in England next year. Players like zaheer yuvraj and ganguly have benefited with a stinct in county. It could probably help rahul as well.

Kl Rahul, DK are same kind of players cheeka… they are the best talents, but when it comes to pressure situation they won’t perform. DK performed only one time in his career during Asia cup final vs Bangladesh. Otherwise he didn’t performed at any pressured situation, but KL is not even equal to DK, doesn’t played any pressure match. Clearly I can say, if KL played run a ball in 2023 final, Virat would have taken up the score to 280+ and it may turned into a toughest one to chase. Virat got out due to KL poor performance, even at last minute he didn’t even tried to play at his potential. Finally India lost, 2019 same scenario in semi final, worst shot he played and repeated the same in this test match. As a sportsman he has to be strong enough to play the game.
