Back in 93, I discovered Underworld...then The Prodigy, Leftfield, KLF, FSOL and The Orb amongst other great live Dance bands. Then, by the end of the 20th century, it all got a lot quieter. Nice to see there's superb talent like these guys out there now, making fresh and banging Dance music for the 21st century.

Best live concert i discovered in this direction musicwise in the last years was Gudrun von Laxenburg, small Austrian band but powerful sound.

Back in the "90´s we only had Amiga500&Protracker with four tracks. There was no chance in hell to make it all "computerized". Drums recorded and sampled for 1 track alone took weeks.. Of torture&beer. Embed to that all self made piano,guitar etc samples.

Fuk yeh. I follow lords of acid an kmfdm music an its some of the hardest drum stuff below deathcore tech death an blackmetal. But did you know a lot of hard core rap an even some other alt type bands have crazy cymbal speed an is pretty tough to play too.

Live drums always sound "thin" compared to beats from a drum machine to my ears. I don't mind introducing acoustic instruments into electronic music but replacing the drum machine sounds wrong to me. It also defeats the point somewhat - electronic music + synths can make/manipulate sounds that can't be produced with acoustic instruments. The synths should remain front and centre for the most part IMO.
