Klarisse and Morissette!!! Grabeee. Husay nilang pareho. Klang's exquisite approach on the word, "pintig" (0:11). Klang's soul-piercing middle range (0:59). Goosebumps! These two women have amazing 'middle range' vocals - an attribute you don't often find in today's generation of sopranos. May pa-squeak pa si Phoenix (1:31)! Both have supreme mastery of the light, intimate vocals, as well as the soaring, fully-engaged vocals! Morissette is, of course, my bias, so I have to talk about her voice: Her interpretation of music, as a vocalist, has become even more refined. She is so seasoned at 27 years old, with more years ahead of her to fine-tune her instrument. Her vocal placements are fine tuned for richness, depth and clarity all throughout her vocal range. Her use of nasal resonance is just right, without sounding too nasal. She uses a good amount of pharyngeal resonance, resulting in richer tones. All her registers are developed, with no glaring weaknesses. Her head tones are even richer and more luxurious now. Her lows are even more projected now, as well as her lower range extensions. Her "mixed voice" (belting range) is getting easier and freer. She's fine tuned her upper "mix" to a much better balance (i.e. less compressed, less glottal - hence freer and more released). Having a well developed middle range really gave her that proper anchor/foundation for greater improvements down the line. We are witnessing it now. Lastly, look at the joy they both have for each other's success (2:38)!

I love how more mature and more professional they have become.
