I think they should have let Caroline be happy. The only reason Stefan had to die is because Alaric could not protect his children when they were kidnapped. He was so ungrateful to Stefan who gave up his immortal soul to Cade to save them. They always let the people live who do not deserve to.,Damon should have been the one to die. He killed a lot of innocent people. Stefan sacrificed himself over and over for his brother out of love. Even Elena was a sad excuse for a girlfriend or friend all she did was whine.I could have written a better ending.
