I think I read somewhere, that julie plec already confirmed Joseph Morgan's return for the 4th season, they definitely said that Tyler wouldn't be the new "klaus" and to @Lizzy3D no he didn't die.. Bonnie put his "soul" into Tyler's body before vamp-alaric staked him. . and we never knew if the entire body burned ..
