I suppose it's more underrated as in a lot of people still haven't seen it yet but it is facing off against Christmas movies that have been around for 30-40+ years (some much older) so it will take a few years yet before it gets it's recognition as an all time great christmas movie but I'd say by 2030 you'll see it in the top 10 of every "great Christmas movie" list

I am a person who has a hard time crying with many things in life. I was distraught when my Aunt passed away in 2019, and even moreso when I couldn't cry. It made me feel embarrassed, ashamed and guilty in a way like I never felt...Then I watched this film a few years later and I heard this song and suddenly my soul melted away to everything that I had been pent up for the past 2 years...Thank you to the writers who helped me finally move on. Песня как нельзя кстати подходит этой истории. Пускай прообразом Санта Клауса был Николай Чудотворец, то как именно он дарил подарки, незамеченным проникая в дома, походу уже додумывали сами люди. От чего образ Санты в последствии и начал обрастать легендами и мифами, как например то что он всегда остаётся незамеченным, список непослушных детей, олени и бездонный мешок с подарками.

@@_kak_betep_9477 Не божество, а скорее Клаус стал тем самым духом Рождества и добрым волшебником, который исполняет детские мечты (хотя наверняка всю работу продолжал делать Джаспер, как и весь мульт до этого. А игрушки делали жители народа Лапланов, таким образом ещё и чтя память о том, с кого пошла традиция дарить на Рождество подарки - обычного лесоруба по имени Клаус, который просто хотел семью, но в итоге сделал для всего мира гораздо больше)
