The male interviewers are the best. They're very respectful, good listeners, they don't "interrogate" like so many of the female interviewers I've noticed. It's more like a good conversation where the survivor is more free to express what they endured.

Thank you Mr. Sturn for your personal testimony. You speak so distinctly and with such clear memory. I am so very sorry and sad that you experienced the horror of the Holocaust.

My husband’s family were Stern’s who emigrated from Ostrowiec Poland in the 1920’sbut most of the family were lost in the Holocaust,,,,Waxman was the name of Getzel Stern’s wife Roisa. I try to keep their memories alive in my grown children’s memories. I want the kids to remember their Mishpacha (family),,,,that they lived and loved,,,not just how they died

My grandfather who was German and non jew couldn't believe that his country would stoop that low. During the war he escaped service in the military because he was the oldest son and fatherless, so he was allowed to work.

Historic barbarian treatment recorded for future generations so people will hopefully never forget. Mr Stern's survival is truly remarkable because of the conditions of his treatment. How anyone survived is remarkable.

So this very important testimony is being recorded with the mic not on the subject, but only on the interviewer......?.

Listen with the earphones. Each has different audio, usually left one is the witness for me.

It apparently wasn’t important enough for the hiring of an audio engineer, sadly. I can’t even hear what he is saying 90% of the time.
