My first time in radar (original anomaly with mods) I didn't run into any mutants apart from some zombies at the beginning, the place was FILLED with Monolith though. I went in fully stacked and by the time I got to the lab I was running dry on almost everything. I ended up going in, the shit was tense, I had to count EVERYTHING. I got through it eventually, starving, dehydrated, low HP and barely any ammo.. Keep in mind I also had to get back. I'll never forget it. Can't wait to download GAMMA 0.9

This is someones secon playtrough where they have like 10 monolith in the whole radar location. When i go there i have to fight like 200 of them so im little bit confused how does this works.

I just finished it. Only had a few Monolith at the beginning of the map, then in their 'camp' and that was all. No mutants at all. Lab was full of Monolith.

a tip for the ghosts is just to bring alot of joints with you, joints help tremendously against psy damage.

Ye Radar area got nerfed, but the northern areas are jacked up to the maximum. ISG, Monolith, Mercs, Military everywhere. ISG is full of supertanks (Nosorogs and Exos to the gills). Fair warning: Bring ammo with BR6-7 pen.

Literally just did this quest and got swarmed by Monolith lol, same GAMMA version as you unless a very recent patch tweaked it. You just nailed the silent headshots at times, and got very lucky on timing, I guess the other squad or 2 were out to lunch or something lol. It was Hell getting through there and I had companions to help me.

I mean, the spawns are completely random. Where they're stationed, how many there are, etc, always random.

its because for the brain scorcher quests a bunch of guards are spawned. Klean didnt do the quest here so its just your regular mono spawns. with the quest that shit is super fortified both going in and out of the BS

Yeah just noticed him mention it was odd, and I was already like damn he had a much easier time of it. I was thinking oh no, the ironman run is in jeopardy here 😂. I just fully finished the quest and luckily coming out it was dark so I was able to night vision up, snipe and sneak my way out. Much smoother than going in to the quest lol

Been playing GAMMA for the past two weeks, and I've gotta say when you've got a good loadout and some pretty good armor, the game really shows itself as the sandbox it is. Currently have the VSS Vintorez Merc and a Merc Saiga, pretty helpful since the Merc version of the VSS slaps on an extra ten rounds into the magazine. Plus, the DMR kits make it easier for CQC, letting me switch from a high zoom scope to a red dot on the side of my rifle. Gotta say, it's a damn fine game. All that's left now is to wait for 1.0, so that I can finally get an Experimental PSU due to the fact they removed it due to bugs.

As you mentioned, too few monoliths there. What ZCP popultaion factor do you have? Default ones are 0.5 and for me they are a bit too low. I also increase the squad size.

Gama seems alright but introducing magazines like EFP does is probably the biggest game changer. Granted, I find the current version of EFP a little too soft on economy even at hardest setting you can pretty much just buy everything which takes a lot out of that loot gameplay, but I really can't play any FPS game of this genre anymore if there's no realistic magazines mechanics.

I'm not sure how it works in gamma but I play anomaly and found a mod to swap the binocular/vision slot for an extra knife/pistol slot

The movement in this game feels horrid. You get this weird "stop" that occurs every step of a stairway and when you land after jumping. They need to fix that shit.

Gamma is good and all but never will be better than making your own mod pack with Anomaly. Only reason Gamma got popular is because majority of people coming to Stalker didn't know how to Mod anomaly as there wasn't much documentation and tutorials. People just need to take some time to learn how to set up the mod order in Anomaly and you can make a way better experience than what Gamma offers. Like i said i think Gamma is good however I'm just commenting on its sudden blowup on youtube and twitch etc. Just want to let others know you can make this experience better if you mod on your own, its not too difficult especially if you modded any other pc game like Skyrim etc.
