Their customer service is great as well. Around 2009, I broke my plastic loop cap(like the one you have). I called them and they sent me a replacement very quickly, at no charge to me. It was 100% my fault, but the lady wouldn't let me pay.

Its aged great. I have wide mouth version, think its smaller but its uncoated metal. I might spray mine with heat resistant paint after seeing how cool the coated ones look

Got a bunch of different water bottles ranging from 27 ounces alway up to 1 gallon. Unfortunately, the 27 is the only stainless steel one in the bunch.

I have had a klean kanteen bottle for about 8 years? Got it to replace one of those aluminium Sigg lined jobs after the coating started to come off when drinking! The klean kanteen being 18/8 stainless was the way to go ! I must that 64oz is a monster? Ive never seen the Olive green shade before! Looks the business.

They only had od green available for a short time- i cant imagine why they dropped it!

I too use Klean Kanteen bottles for boiling water (40 oz. and 64 oz. sizes), but prefer wide mouth designs with flip up D-ring lids. They are in a large Maxpedition bottle carrier or one from Self Reliance Outfitters, and carried as a sling system and/or mounted on my pack. For my primary drinking, I use a 100oz. Camelbak Mil-Spec Antidote. So I carry 140 to 164 ounces of water! After my backing trips, I clean them all with bleach water.

Check out airsoft/paintball bottle tank bags, they have molle compatibility and you can run them in various orientations

Put 70% hydrogen peroxide in and give it a shake. You'll definitely see the invisible biofilms from your spit start fizzing away. You can also use sand and water to physically abrade the film off the inside in a pinch.

I think the stink comes from a dirty mouth, leaving the bacteria on the rim. Letting it marinade would be perfect for the bacteria to grow.

This company uses non-toxic materials and they are also a b-corp, which means they have passed certain environmental and ethical standards for their manufacturing process

@@alucard-jy8wh well first off, as very clearly explained, the bottle is not thermal. Second- if you only keep water in it not much cleaning is needed. Third, if and when it is, besides a simple rinse, alcohol or boiling water does a fantastic job. 0 complication.

@@Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors yeah but boiling and alcohol is not something everyone is gonna want to do, especially when theirs cheaper and better stainless water bottles that are allot easier to clean, why waste your time on a bottle that just makes cleaning complicated when their a better affordable options and you can actually clean and scrub the inside out with out all that extra effort, not everyone has time to sit their and wait for water to boil or clean with alcohol when you can just buy a different better affordable easier to clean bottle that literally takes seconds to clean

@@alucard-jy8wh "cheaper and better" What are you talking about? This bottle comes in a wide mouth if you like that, as they all do. The narrow mouth is easier to drink from, regardless of size. I have cleaned this bottle maybe 5 times in like as many years- its fine. 0 extra effort. "Cheaper and better" Show me a cheaper and better 64oz bottle. Ill wait. 👌🏻
