It is all about money, Klein doesn’t pay Home Depot as much as Milwaukee does to get a bigger foot print. Milwaukee will eventually have the same problem Klein had at Home Depot, which is going to be someone who sits behind desk, saying what stores gets what items, and how to display them, when Home Depot needs to ask it’s customers, aka Electricians. Klein hand tools always, Milwaukee, no, even that label of Made in USA is BS, it is assembled in USA with globally sourced items, so not good. If you want to use that label, to us Electricians, everything including the metal needed to make it, needs to be mined in the USA.
@Likeomgitznich9 ай бұрын
That would mean it is made AND sourced in the USA. It’s pretty much impossible to source everything from a single location.

@JaxTheReaper21 we would still need to outsource the rubber. Not to many rubber trees in the U.S. We should build and mold here, but outsourcing the material is fine. Let someone lime China destroy their land for mining.

Milwaulkee hand tools made in the USA, that's good. I'll start to be impressed when they make their power tools in the USA.

I saw that. I was surprised, they even have punch tools for us low-voltage boys lmao

I’m actually working on putting in Milwaukee headquarters in Canadian Homedepots. We are doing a lot of stores across canada going into next next year

Klein is made in the USA across many more product lines than Milwaukee. I love both btw…

Im in Canada and we don’t have very many domestic manufacturers, so I support my neighbors and my local manufacturers as much as i can, i might lose a bit of profit but its worth it

Interesting. I just went past Lowe's yesterday and they have a huge section of Klein Tools

Milwaukee makes great power tools but I would never replace any of my Klein hand tools with Milwaukee unless they make a huge change. I’m not even an electrician.

SOME hand tools are made in the US, but most are not, and the power tools aren't. Milwaukee tool is owned by a foreign company in Hong Kong, but they have increased their USA presence somewhat.
